Cuttlebug question

OK, so I'm a little late catching on with this craze. I see all those cute cards in the gallery made with cuttlebug folders and I'm beginning to cave. So, can you use the folders with a regular sizzix not the sidekick? I guess I don't really know what it is, I've not seen one up close and personal. TIA

yes...with the converter (the magnetic thing)...just run the folder through like you would a red die...

What additional items do I need to buy in order to start using my cuttlebug? does it come with anything to start with?

It comes with all the cutting pads, converters, etc to use with various sized dies and folders. But it doesn't come with any dies or embossing folders. Those all come seperate.
