I live out in the hinterlands as far as stamping supplies go, and have not been able to find re-inkers for my stamp pads. I *did* manage to find the Perfect Ink Refresher by Ranger by chance after much searching online (Google did *not* help!) and now that I have the refresher I can stamp again!
I know most of y'all are fully decked out with SU re-inkers for your pads, but for those of us stuck picking up pads from Mike's, the refresher is a godsend. Just had to share.
So where did you get the refresher? I remember reading a post that the refresher is great for SU pads as well. That the color is there, it's just dried out.

Two places in the States that I have heard mentioned as carrying PIR are Jade Inc. (a mail order company, I think) and AC Moore (next to the Ranger ink pads). PIR is a clear fluid in a spray bottle, I think 5 oz., and it is around five dollars or less.
I just googled PIR again, and now I see a whole bunch of new links have been added to google that weren't there when I was looking! >:( I got mine from Scrapbooker's Paradise, ordered online from their store in Alberta (no PST!).
Apparently PIR is death to dried-out metallic pads, but if they are dried out they are useless anyways. I used it on my ~6-yr-old Colourbox pigment ink petals last night, which were thoroughly dried out after their years in the prairies, and because there was still a lot of pigment in them they were like new again!
I got mine at AC Moore last month with a coupon. I love it. Even though I have most of my reinkers it still is great to just moisten when I leave the lid open. It will NOT work on the craft pads but does work on the wheel cartridges! It's a great way to protect my investment.
Advice, just use a couple of sprays at one time. It will dilute the color if over-sprayed. (How do I know, you ask? Never mind.)
Visit www.jadestamps.com. They have the refresher and you will get to see the gal that designed the Perfect Ink Refresher. Plus there are other things I love like her Perfect Pearls! I think they are better than Pearl Ex. Perfect Pearls have a fixative mixed in with the powder so the hold on to the paper and do not need to have one sprayed on top of the finished project! They truly are the best and Julia Andrus is a really nice lady!!
The PIF is wonderful. I don't have very many reinker's, just too many other things to buy! I finally broke down and bought some, now I will use PIF, just a spray or two to refresh. I've set the limit at twice with PIF then reinker for color. Seems to be working well. Of course, now that I've set that limit, it means I'd better get off my duff and order some reinkers, huh?
