He had help, I sent him an email I got about it so he would have a clue as to what I wanted. The cartridges were hints as well, my dd and I were shopping and taking pictures with her cell phone of things I would like as gifts.
Ok, I got one too for Christmas....... ummmm, what's next? There wasn't an instruction manual and I haven't had a lot of time or energy to start using it... guess I am off to checkout the Cricut MB - will let you know what I find - lol!

The Gypsy is a hand held device that work with the Cricut. It allows you to design on the go. You can upload all of you Cricut carts onto it, and plud it into the Cricut, and not have to worry about switching out cartridges or overlays. I've had mine about 6 wks, and I love it.
Watch Michaels and JoAnns, they usually have special on the Gypsy, around $200, which is still pretty steep. I bought mine from HSN. Along with the standard accessories, it also came with the Destinations cart, over the shoulder carrying case, and car adaptor.
I can imagine your excitement - I got a Cricut Expression last March for my birthday and was not even expecting anything like it and didn't know that much about it.
Then, for Christmas this year, I got a new laptop * two cartridges - wooohooo! Another surprise was that he had ordered the modem for wireless internet at the same time.
I bought myself a gypsy!! I have mixed emotions about it . I like the ease of taking it places but for me it is hard to see.
Have you figured out how to use the zoom feature yet? I felt the same way about the visibility of the items on the mat, until I figured out the zoom/pan keys
~~~~My husband said it was him or scrapbooking~~~~So, I took pictures of him packing~~~~~~And made some really cute pages~~~~~~
My sweetie also got me a gypsy for Christmas. Of course I had to send him a few emails. lol However, I'm still on the fence about it. I guess once I become productive again, I'll see the benefits.
I like mine because of some of the features like welding, etc. I don't have any of the computer programs because I am trying to stay away from the computer...with no luck, obviously! :rolleyes: I think the Gypsy has a lot of great things about it but it is a steep price. You need to think about how you use or want to use your Cricut. If you like to work away from home and design your own cuts, Gypsy is a great tool. If you are more of a work-at-home type, you could probably wait on the Gypsy because, as we all know, the price will come down. Good luck with your decision!
