DH is giving me something for crafting that costs nothing---time. He has been very understanding about me needing some time for myself to do what I love. (I've been dealing with my mom having serious health issues, including multiple small strokes and the realization that this is most likely her last Christmas and I need time just for me, just to relax....)
Didn't mean to hijack--just wanted to share...
So sorry about your mom. Sometimes the best gifts can't be bought with money and time to create is a big blessing. Wishing you all the best!

Your husband is really sweet to do that for you. So sorry to hear about your mom's problems. Hugs

My family got me 10 whipper snapper stamps, 9 sets of nestabilities and my DH told me to order SU stuff. So I ordered 125.00 worth and no shipping!!! YEAH!!
I hope you all have a Merry Christmas
I received gift cards to Michaels, Hobby Lobby and my LSS to spend on whatever I need. I'm going to hold on to them until they restock after the holidays and then it will be like Christmas all over again. I rec'd an email for the nearest scrapbook store that the day after Christmas everything in the store will be 40% off, so I'm headed over there to stock up on stickles, glue dots and everything else.

Lots of goodies, but craft related were gift card to HL (hubby forgot to tell me how much it was even for) and the X-acto Laser Paper Trimmer, which was from my daughter. Still on a quest for the perfect trimmer, heard good things about this one so I pointed my daughter in the right direction...we shall see!
I hope everyone's holidays are merry and bright and all your wishes are comign true. I received lots of crafty things for Christmas from my family, here in SC and in Indiana. I received almost as much for my birthday last Monday! My DH also gave me the one item on my WISH list - a Dremel 400 XRP! I love tools.
But the greatest gift I got this year is that my DD is still here - she was in a 6car pile up last Friday and her car was pushed partially over a bridge railing. Her car is most likely a total loss. Having her here at home with just a few bruises was all I could ever ask for.
Here's hoping the New Year brings good health, happiness and many blessings to y'all.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!
I got some Copic markers and the Copic Spica pens and other things not craft related. I love my DH for going to the LSS to pick these out!
DD and DH got me the Cricut Design Studio. Is it really as great as it sounds? I can access all cartridges on-line, I don't have to buy anymore? IF that's right woo hoo!!!!

Lyndie, I'm sorry to hear about your mother. :( That's very thoughtful of your DH to give you the "me time" that you need. He sounds like a sweet man. :-D

Unfortunately, you still need to buy the carts. I think you can see some of the images in the Design Studio without having the cart, but you can't cut them unless you have the cart loaded into your machine or Jukebox.
Sorry! But it's still a really awesome program, I hear. It's definitely on my list.
I was spoiled too by my DH and "Santa"-I am the happy owner of a Cricut Expressions and 5 additional Carts to go with it. We are blessed at our home that I do a lot of craft shopping on my own-but DH wanted to get something that he knew I would use a lot.
My Fab Sister gave me 3 retired SU sets (one of which I have hunting ebay for months for and never one and had given up on) and some cute card/envie sets waiting to be stamped!
I do have one gift back home under the tree from one of my Best Friends (we're away right now for the holidays) and I'm sure it's also got some great goodies.
We only exchange stocking stuffers - I got 12 packs of clear stamps, 5 packs of fancy buttons and 5 packs of stickers and a big pack of paper...I was elated!! Generally my family won't venture into a craft store, but I am glad they broke their rules this year!

He is a very dear man--he knows what an emotional toll her illnesses have taken on me.
Please keep her and my family in your prayers...she has alzheimers, severe diabetes, a bad heart, and the nurses where she lives say she is getting worse day by day. She has fallen at least twice in the last week... tearing up as I write this...:(
Wow I got lots of goodies! Two punches, two stamps sets, two rolls of ribbon, two packs of DP and a hobby blade plus lots of non stamping goodies from DH. My one sister got me four packs of DP and my other sister got me a new MS punch that I have been wanting. And one of the nurses I work with got me two sets of DP. What was best is that none of the DP was the same!!
I am going to stamp all weekend!!

i actually didnt get nothing this year. we normally dont have much of a christmas at all and we were blessed some this year, so we made sure the kids had a "wii" christmas since we've been trying to get/find one for two years since it came out. i was able to find a wii about two months ago, kept it hidden from the kiddies. "santa" got them "guitar hero world tour", so now we've all been playing that along w/the wii sports game that came witht the console. i bet we all sleep tonight!!! lol
hope everyone has had a blessed christmas and if i dont log on before, have a safe and happy new year!!!
But that's quite all right since my DH bought me a .22 pistol with laser grips! And he bought me a new external hard drive. My back up hard drive is really old and it is slowing my computer down tremendously; the new HD is hooked up & my files are transferring as I'm typing. Once that's done, I'll take the old hard drive out of my computer
Then when you get the hard drive out you can shoot it!!
My Boyfriend got me my slice and the slice desk organizer. He also got me the noteworthy and falalala card---I guess he made good use of those 50% off coupons I printed off and left on his computer.
my dh got me the cuttlebug so excited, i also got a gc from hobby lobby he said he was going to buy me some folders etc but when he saw the selection he said well i dont know what she wants so i will get gc. Also a very SHOCKING SUPRISE is a LAPTOP COMPUTER WOW that was really a big shocker had no clue. So excited.
Family gave me gc to Micheals. So a big christmas this year for me. So excited cant wait to get crafting again.
I got 60 more Sketch Copics to add to my collection. So I now have 207...only 115 more til I have every color!
Wow, I was feeling good about Christmas until I read what Santa brought you! LOL
I got a 36 Copic Sketch marker set, and because there were like 8 different shades of greys in the 36 set, DH got me 8 more extra in different colors. I also got a Canon Power Shower A590 IS Digital Camera from DH. DS gave me some fuzzy slipper socks, my Dad (he's 83) gave me a check for $100 as did my MIL...all-in-all, a very blessed cardmaking Christmas! But I'm thinking I need more Copics?

You have been the repicient of one of the miracles of the season! I agree with you, you DID get the greatest gift! Thank goodness she is OK! The car can always be replaced. Blessings to you and your family!

My dd got me the Singer Pixie Plus sewing machine and dh got me the wonderful camera I wanted so I can take even better pics of my cards
Mom got me diamonds...this was a GREAT day!
Glad everyone else got some wonderful gifts too, we are all so blessed!!!
Nothing craft related this year. We did get an early Christmas present when our coffee machine broke a few weeks ago. I drink my Keurig coffee while I stamp, so it is helpful.
The only thing I wanted was a 4 inch foam mattress topper and I got that! Now I'm excited to go to bed and try it out.
My kids got a Wii, but I'm sure I'll be loving that too.
Sounds like lots of great stamping Christmases out there!
I got American Crafts goodies I've been eyeing for awhile - a V-Day paper pack and Moda Bella collection, along with the matching Flair (so, so cute!) which I cannot wait to use!! Also Urban Garden SU paper/accents and elements, a few new punches and a Sizzix die... PLUS bind-it-all covers and wires for my new BIA - I had just gotten the BIA for my birthday in November, but had yet to take it out of the box! Today I finally got to play with my bind-it-all and I'm so addicted! I think I will be binding everything this weekend, lol!
Sounds like everyone has had a really nice Christmas. Mine was no exception. Dh bought me a set of the 4 rectangle classic nesties, a 96 color set of Copics, some stamps only available in Europe, and some other stamps and embellishments. I was spoiled rotten this year! Of course, I did buy him a motorcycle this summer, so I must have been on the good girl list.

My DH bought me a Nikon D90 with a couple of lenses. I am sooo excited. I can't wait to see how much fun this will be with my scrapbook obsession (I meant hobby).
I got a big GC to Archiver's and the Animal Crackers design card to go in my Making Memories Slice...that's about it for crafty stuff. Also under the tree were GCs to Barnes & Noble (LOVE books!) and Lane Bryant (LOVE their jeans!). My brother ignored what I told him I would like and gave me a $100 bill. Actually, that's more than what I had asked for!
Merry Christmas All! My fam is all in bed, pooped out from a busy and fun day. I know that today is much more than what we get but since you asked...
DH got me two nesties and a digital photo keychain
A doctor's bag for my Big Shot is arriving Monday, finally. It's been a 2-month long process trying to snag one of those babies.
And I've recently bought lots of Big Shot goodies for myself...so I've counted those as Christmas. Nesties, Provocraft embossing folders, sizzlet alphabets, bigz alphabets. I had fun making Christmas gifts with all these new toys.
My DH has gotten into some trading card game so I went crazy getting him all kinds of stuff for it. He hasn't even opened all the cards yet but one is worth $70 on ebay and he's gonna sell it. That will pay for the whole stash I bought him!
And to help me get over the guilt of being totally spoiled and greedy, the kids and I are going to weed through older toys to donate tomorrow. I also donate stamping stuff when my stash gets out of control. It helps me feel a lot better about all that we acquire!
I got a new stamping room!....Well, at least it feels like it! I got 18 jetmax storage cubes this month from DH. He helped me put them all together and I reorganized my room.
DD got me the Cricut tools kit and a spatula (for the Expressions I bought a couple of months ago and still haven't had time to play with yet!) and she gave me a GC to Michaels!
She is 26 and after watching me (with little or no interest) stamp for 15 years, now she IS into scrapbooking and stamping....so with the reorganization of my stamp room, I bought her a scrapbook tote on wheels and filled it with some of my stash...She loved it! I had recently updated my old SU classic ink pads for the new version (in all colors w/ ink refills), so she got my old ones (all 4 and 24 SU markers, adhesives, several SU stamp sets, clear stamps with acrylic mounts, misc. wood-mounted stamps, brads, etc.
She was so tickled! I gave her 2 tall iris carts, a wood 'thing' that holds 30 reams of paper (3 columns wide and 10 high), narrow shelves for wood stamps, a 4 ft. folding table, and MUCHO paper!
It felt really good to see her so excited about getting it...and it felt really good to de-clutter my stamp room to help with the reorganizing. Her SO's parents also gifted her with a HUGE scrapbooking kit full of goodies...! Her 2nd bedroom will now be reorganized this weekend to become a full-fledged scrapbook room (so she says!)....
