Default Do any of you know about this desktop binder?

I hope the link works. It looks like you punch and then put in a spiral and you have a notebook. How much is it? What do you know about it?

It is called a Bind-It-All. Do a search for that name in this forum and you will find way more information than you could ever want! It is a great tool, and costs about $60.

I just bought one about 5 min ago!! Why? I don't know but I wanted (and resisted!) the rollabind...but The Stamping Cottage has a sale on good for today only with 10% off and their price is $54.99! It seems like a good deal and there was no shipping charge either...so I got some coils, the Bind it all machine and a cuttlebug embossing plate for under $60!!

Yahoo!!

PS. I still want copic markers and an OTT light...but I digress!

Dang it guys...I have resisted until I can resist no more. I see all these posts day after day about this dandy little machine...and I couldn't resist and just ordered one from stamping cottage since they were offering 10% off and free shipping.

Thanks a lot... ;-)

I was planning on ordering the punch SU has in their spring mini and I am wondering if I could skip that order if I get this or should I get the punch?
Is the punch a good addition? Or is it "the same thing" or is it necessary?

This is what I understand...the pitch is the same so the punch can be used to add filler pages to a book made with the BIA. However, the holes that are punched have a slit in them so I am not sure if you could make a whole book using the slit punch. Ladies, please correct me if I am wrong with my information!!

Thanks ladies!

I am also curious about covering the front/back of a notebook that would be made with the BIA. Does the BIA cut holes in a piece of paper that would be used as a cover or does everything you put in there end up with a spiral on it? Is that clear as mud?
If I can't use it to make a decorative cover then I suppose I would get the SU punch to make a cover.

I had no trouble making covered notebooks with my BIA. I cut heavy cardboard (a Goldfish box, one of the big ones) into notebook bases, covered it with cardstock on both sides, and punched. Worked great. HTH.
