mine is on order!
i had talked myself out of it at least have a dozen times and when i finally went in with my coupon they were out. i just had them to order it at joann's. i went ahead and got some accessories to go with it cause they were on sale.
AND right now (well i got more accessories yesterday) all the cuttlebug stuff was on sale with free shipping at joann.com!
I got mine a week ago after a couple of months of resisting. I can't tell you how much it has jazzed up my cardmaking urges. I love it. The embossing folders are so versatile in so far as what you can do with them... cut them up, punch them, distress on them, sand them if you use white core paper, etc. I don't buy a lot of the "toys" but with my gift card and coupon, it practically walked itself to my front door!
Love mine! If you do get one, my only suggestion would be that if you have the space leave it out so it is easy for you to use and get at. I don't have the space to leave mine out, so I sometimes forget to use it, but when I do use it, I love it! So fun and so easy to use! One of my all time favorite gifts from DH ever! (Well, crafty gifts that is!)
does anyone know of any good place to order it online? my closest M's or joanns is 45 mins away..
does anyone have a M's or Joanns coupon they would be willing to let me use? i dont get their ads..so i never get these coupons everyone talks about :(
which folders do you recommend? i have the swirl one because i tryed the rolling pin thing..but didnt work to hot.. lol can you tell i have been talking myslef out of this for a while..
I love my 'bug and resisted getting a die cut machine for a long time. I occasionally use my dies, esp. ribbon slides and tags, but the embossing folders rock!! Love d'vine swirls, birthday, stylized flowers, friends and bloom dots. I wish the stores carried more of them! Take the leap - you won't regret it!

I like Bloom Dots the best. D'vine Swirls is good, but the hearts one is LOVELY. I don't have it, but I had a friend make me some and I want it!
Has anyone put brass stencils in their CB? If so, how'd it go? How'd you do it? I love my brass stencils, but they take so much time and make my hand ache!
Love, love, LOVE my Cuttlebug. I got it with a coupon from Michael's. I use the D'vine Swirl folder the most, but just ordered three more folders from Joann's online yesterday and am looking forward to trying the Textile Texture one. If there is a Michael's coupon in this Sunday's paper, I would be happy to mail it to you if you give me your address!

I just got mine yesterday and I have a few questions about using the dies....Do you have to run the die through the machine more than once if you want to have the different colors....like the turkey die, it shows it with different color feathers...how do you do that?
I assume yes, that's how you'd do it. Like if it's got three colors, you piece together one turkey from the three dies you ran through in different colors.

Even if you don't get the Mike's coupons check. My store will give you the discount all you have to do is ask and sign a sheet of paper. Not all stores do this, but it's worth a shot! I have bought all of my folder's and dies with the 40% off too!

I just ran a photo, it was my husbands idea, through one of the embossing folders and it looks so cool! I don't know what I am going to do with it, but I am thinking.
ugh so i decided to buy the bug since you all talked me into it ;).. but no one has it!!! joanns on line is out of stock and the 2 closest joanns (25mins & 45mins away) both dont have them.. lame!! i found a 40% off coupon from them thats good until the 6th.. so i wanted to use that.. guess i'll have to wait...:(
Our Michaels let you use a competitor coupon. We don't have a Joanns, but when I was shopping for the best price Michael's was the best with 40% off.
My favorite embossing folders are D'vine swirls and Bubbles. I just ordered some more from Joanns.com with free shipping...can't wait!
My 11 yr DD loves using the bug. I don't get to run my stuff through very often, she loves to do it for me...which shows how easy it is to operate. My 7 yr DD also likes doing it, if big sister lets her. LOL
Hi,
I've had my bug for a while. Initially, I used it TONS. Now, I don't use it as much. Don't get me wrong. I think it is a fantastic papercrafting tool. I think it is, ironically, an unfortunate fact that I have SO MANY CHOICES when making a card. And sometimes, I don't bring the bug out if it is not sitting right in front of me. Yup, keep it out in the open. I do think the embossing folders are awesome for quicky, easy cards. And they are all so lovely. I really should use them more.
That said, could/would I be happy making cards without the bug? Well, truthfully, probably not if I kept coming on SCS and seeing the CB cards. If I didn't come on here, I could have kept on crafting without it.
I haven't had any buyer's remorse with my 'Bug. I don't use it every day (heck, I don't stamp every day). I paid $39.99 at Michael's with a 50% off Joann's coupon. I like just having the option to use it.

That's a great price for the Bug.
The cheapest I was able to get it in my town was $53 at
JoAnns. I just got it and I cant wait to start using it.
Now I just have to get all the other things to go with it.

I voted buy it and I LOVE IT and I had to pay $149.00 AUS for mine
even yesterday got so excited as I won a ebay auction down under and got the scalloped squares and the 2x6 butterfly one for the price of one and that cost me $26.00 AUS they are very expensive in OZ
Well thanks to all you ladies i purchased the cuttlebug today from joanns.com.. not the best deal but still better priced then some other sites i looked at.. it was 62.99.. i had a coupon but it wouldnt let me use it cuz thats the sale price.. oh well the closest joanns, mikes,or HL are 45 mins away and i have been calling them all week..and none of them had it.. and said they didnt know when they would get it.. and i figured even with a 40% coupon it would be 53.. which is only 10bucks cheaper (which i would spend on gas anyways)..
so enough rambling.. I GOT A CUTTLEBUG!!! it will be here in 4-7 days!!
i hope its easy to use! i also go 5 of the embossing folders.. no dies though.
Sounds like a good price if you would have had to drive far. With gas $3 a gallon it adds up. I have yet to buy one. Tried the rolling pin with a folder last night and it worked pretty well.

thats what i figured! i tried the rolling pin thing but it didnt work as good as i would have liked.. maybe i just wasnt strong enough or something..
so now that i am getting my cuttlebug and must haves for it?
and good dies that are a must have..either cuttlebug or any other compatible brand??
