I have an inside source at Corporate who I gave the upc code to and she looked them up here and said there were 125 at some stores but they may not be putting them out until the Christmas stuff is out :( just shoot me and put me out now, I keep calling and I am sure they think i am the psycho mailbox lady now!
Dawn
I'll have to slip away later today and pick some up!
I altered 20 of them last year for my DS's class. I'll make them for my DD's class this year.
Thanks for the heads up!
I just bought the last nine at a Target near me. I hope they get some more in. I am so excited that I found some. I also bought some small metal buckets they are on sale for 50 cents! I bought red and silver. Yay!
I bought several in red, pink and a couple in white (white was very limited.) They were with the Valentine decor in the Target spot section.
I also picked up a package of cute little Christmas dishes in the Target spot... I thought everything in that area was a dollar, but was charged $2.50 for the package, so be careful to check prices in that section!
Here's what it took to get these mailboxes which are finally showing up here in Az! I went to a Target close to my work and they had 3. It's like one potato chip right? I left here a cute little post it note holder and put my name on the first page of it with my cell phone. I asked her to please call me if she gets more in because I am a teacher and need enough for the whole class to make for Valentines day. She called me last night at 9:30 and held out 30 for me in basket near the employees entrance. I went and got them! She was so nice for doing that! She said they had 80 or so and she saw them and pulled them because some sweet little old lady had her cart full of them ! Sheesh the competition is thick out there!
Good Luck everyone and try sweet talking it really works!
If there aren't any mailboxes out on the floor, ask someone if they have more in the back. Last year my dh did that for me and I got 30 in different colors because they had boxes of them in the storeroom.
Good luck to everyone who is looking for them. We have them already here in northeastern Ohio.
I work right by Target and have been going almost every day during my lunch hour to look for them and nothing :( Makes me wonder if I missed them somehow and maybe sold out already.
Emily-I saw this on your blog so I picked up six pink ones at my Target. I can't wait for your tutorial on them! :-)
I just have to say - if my SIL hadn't snagged them that day - I would never have gotten any this year! I haven't seen them at ANY Target here. SHe just happened to be there when they put them out. I was at Target this week and NADA!
I am looking at the first week of Jan for the tutorial - I'll post it here when I get it up!
I found one and only one at the Target in Bloomington, In while spending the holidays with my BF. We were getting an ink cartridge for him since he got a "Low Ink" message that morning. Since we wanted to get home and away from the mall, I didn't ask if they had more in the back. Will keep searching back home.

BOO HOO!! I checked our Target the other day and they didn't have any. Hopefully I find some, our Target is an hour away, so I don't get there very often. :(

Okay, I actually found these at a second Target - the first one didn't have any, and the one store that I found this at had it in a separate $ aisle. Anyhoo, bought all 9 pink ones! TY for the heads up!!
I bought 10 red, 10 pink, and one white at the Independence, MO (Kansas City Suburb). The Lees Summit one only had two left and when I was done buying most, I think there were 3-4 of each red and pink. I want more white! I'll be using some for a workshop this coming month and the rest for next Christmas goody tin. I also bought some red and pink photo frames to alter for gifts and an 8 page scrapbook page for a summer minibook workshop. So excited! I've never bought anything from the $1 bin before. This is cool! I can't wait to get started.

Hi Emily,
I'm wondering when you are going to have your mailbox tutorial up. I have a get together this Thursday and wanted to do mailboxes. I've gotten a good idea of how to put these together, but since I've NEVER altered anything before, I was hoping to have an expert's help on this before I even attempt to do it so I don't screw up and end up with a ruined mailbox! ;) I know you use mod podge on your altered stuff, or o'so sticky tape, but what about a xyron? Do you think that would work? I'm worried about working around the flag area with the xyron adhesive, as it's not removable once it's "stuck". Anyway, any helpful hints you could give would be greatly appreciated! I have enjoyed all the tutorials you have posted on your blog. You ROCK!!
there were a bunch at the target by my house and i picked up 1 pink and 1 white. don't really know what to do with them so that is why i only got 2. waiting for some ideas ;)
I cut the paper 8 1/2 by 4 inches wide. I use the slot punch to cut the place for the flag. I use doublesided tape. I have examples in my gallery from last year and will have others up this week.
