Default Ellison All Star Machine?

Hi-

I am a classroom teacher, and recently purchased a bigkick which is GREAT! I was purusing the ellison sight today and stumbled upon this machine. Its called the Ellison All Star cutter. Its says it can cut any sizzix die, and then has its own line of dies. OK, so question..do you think I could USE their dies in the Bigkick?? thoughts??

Probably not. I believe the machine you saw is the "industrial" model for schools & the dies are way too big for the personal machine. My MIL was a teacher & she showed me the dies for her school's machine - almost twice the size of the BigKick dies

Hi-

The dies are actually 4x4.5 inches so they WOULD fit in the big kick. I emailed Ellison about my compatibility question..wouldn't that be cool if they COULD work!! There are some COOL basic dies out there and they are around $15 each..not too bad! Bigz are $20.

I called this morning 'cuz I thought it was a good question...

the 'all-star" dies are compatible with the Big Kick/ Big Shot. But the SureCut and ClearCut dies are NOT.

Too bad - I really wanted a few of the SureCut dies.

I guess I had one of the other models in mind. Dang! Here I was hoping to be correct (& potentially save some money). Now that I know, I'll have to check it out  .

I love the steel rule dies for cutting out chipboard, and I had seen the All Star, but didn't think the dies were compatible with my Big Shot.

I'll have to take a second look now!
