Default Fabric Flowers....

I love fabric flowers but they can be so expensive. I was at CVS the other day and came across a beautiful colored lei in the beach/summer section. I figured I could cut the thread and use the flowers. The flowers are really pretty and you get 70 (14 of each color). The great part is the lei is only 1.99. The flowers come in pretty shades too----yellow w/lime green edging, hot pink, white w/light purple edging, white w/dark purple edging & orange w/dark orange edging.

I tried the ones from Target in the party section but they weren't as flat as the ones from CVS and not as pretty.

Ooh, thanks for the tip! Will have to check that out. I haven't bought any flowers because they just seem so expensive.

I did this with an old one I had at home - works great. And, when youpull it apart, the flowers already have a small hole, so it's easy to put in a brad or an eyelet.

And to think I have been letting my children play with the leis. I am going to have to go "shopping" in my kids' rooms. Thanks for the tip.

Thumbs up

I can't wait to try this. I love the new flowers in the SU catty but they are so expensive. I'm going to try a few white lei's and see if the flowers will color like the SU ones. Thanks for the great tip!
