Default Grungepaper

OK, I've had a pack of Tim Holtz Grungepaper for a while but haven't really done much with it. I've been stalking Tim's blog and the SCSgallery for ideas and found a few things that interest me like Kathy Tuckers items below. How do I make those roses? Is there a tutorial somewhere?

I know how to do the stamping with background stamps, sponging onto the grungepaper, and then spritzing with glitter mists for the look. I NEED to know how to shape those roses:confused:

I'd love to know other uses for Grungepaper as well. TIA for any ideas.
