By the time I found and purchased Gum Arabic, I had already forgotten why I wanted it. I think I wanted to use it with Pearl Ex because it would act as a sealant; however, Future Floor Finish is good for that.

Hopefully, someone will have some ideas for what to do with Gum Arabic.

You can mix it with pearl ex, let it harden, then paint with it. You have to get your paint brush or aqua painter really wet to pick up enough pe. Floor wax is much easier, but it's another way to do the job. The only problem is you have to find a small container to hold each of the colors.

I bought some on the advice of my upline, then tried floor wax and wished I hadn't spent the money on the gum arabic.

Funny: I asked about it at JoAnn's and the clerk had never heard of it. Turns out they did have it, but I didn't find out until I went to an Aaron Brothers for it!

It's Future Premium Floor Finish. It says long lasting shine tough acrylic protection. Got mine at KMart or you can probably find it at a grocery store. HTH

Gum Arabic is a binding agent. You use it with a pigment and water to create a paint. Stampers usually use it with Pearl Ex as the pigment source. It will dry with a gloss finish.

OMG...I think I just had a "hot-flash" reading Cathy's inquiry about "Future Wax"!!! Am I that old...or is Cathy that young???? Ok, Ok....I already know....I AM OLD

For those of us almost 50-Something's...we've probably actually used Future Floor Wax for what it was originally intended for along time ago!!!
