I guess that I am going to have to get it. I have picked it up and carried it around my LSS several different times and always talked myself out of getting it. It just looks too cool to not have. Janice
I got mine from Cindy and also bought some bigger brads from her store. That way I can make some photo album tag type books and thread ribbon through the brads....not to mention the other "kewl" stuff I ordered from her.
I saw them available at Michael's yesterday . . . $27.99, but you CAN use a 40% off coupon! Woo Hoo! Great deal! Accidentally left my coupon at home, so I have to go back tomorrow to get it! ;)

I bought this several months ago and it makes setting eyelets, brads or snaps so easy. I don't regret buying this tool at all. I bought mine at Hobby Lobby and used a 40% coupon out of their sale ad. It cost me around $12 after the coupon. If you use a lot of eyelets or other products it is a must have saves so much time.
I got one at the expo a couple of months ago. I love it especially since I can't set eyelets with a hammer when my kids are sleeping and I mainly scrap at night.
And acrylic (plexiglas) and CDs, and tin, and multiple layers of cardstock, and pretty much anything else that will fit into the punch. What I like best about it is that you can set the depth on the punches so that you can have a nice even line of holes all the way down the side of your chipboard for bookbinding. No fuss, no muss, just a nice professional look, which is especially nice if you're making samples or doing classes.
Even though it has a short reach, I am in love with it. I think it was totally worth the price.
I'm not sure about now, but I have seen them on sale at Joann.com for $18.99, plus you can use their online coupons on it at other times. This tool is a MUST HAVE!
And as others have mentioned, they are now at M's as well....
Usually I kick myself for buying something at the local stamp store right away instead of waiting till I can get it online or at M's with a coupon. But NOT with THIS BABY.... M's now has them and I could have saved $11 on it if I had waited, but this thing saved my bacon this weekend when I was up working on swap cards after DH was in bed! He LOVES it even more than I do! LOL! I have my tool kit if I need to set an eyelet further in than the punch will reach, but if I can stay within the reach of this thing, I really prefer it!
I was wondering if anyone has the crop-a-dile, made by We R Memory Keepers. I've seen it and it looks so convenient, but is it as good as it looks? I just don't want to spend $30.00 on something if it's not worth it! Thanks
There have been other threads regarding this tool, you should do a search and see what you can find. I have only read good things about it and am going to buy one myself eventually.

i LOVE mine! It is sooooo easy to set an eyelet. I am so happy to have it, because I bought a whole bunch of eyelets back in the day....and never used them because it was such a pain in the butt to set them...but no longer!
I NEED to set eyelets in a MUCH quieter way!!!! My neighbors would agree. I just looked at this today but Hooby Lobby did not have it on sale. I can not justify the price.

I just got mine today from joann.com. I too used a 50% off coupon to make it $13.50. I had a few minutes on my lunch hour to play with it, and so far I love it. I have the Provo Craft Silent Setter and have used it a few times (just getting started crafting) and it's ok but you have to twist a lot. The crop-a-dile is very cool!! I think I'm going to love it when I have more time to play!!!
Seriously - it cuts through chipboard like butter. It cuts through 2 sheets of matboard like butter.
I personally don't give a d*mn about the silent setter part - pounding the heck out of something is great for my anger management ;) (although it is nice to not have to get up to go and set something), but when I tried my friend's out, I went out and got one the next day.

well ladies.......i just confirmed my order on jaonnes, i will be officially the proud owner of a crop-a-dile in 6-8 days!!! im going to give a premature thank you from my husband, but hey can you argue with 50% off??? i didn't think so!!!
Love mine, too! Only complaint is the short(er) reach the hole punches have but the ease of punching thru anything so easily and silently and quickly/easily setting eylets outweighs that for me!
Hey, wait until your hubby sees it - I bet he'll be impressed. When my boyfriend saw mine, he picked it up, fiddled around with the bits, said , and I quote:
Now THAT is a great tool.

Just tried one at Michael's they were demoing them they had just got them in. Had them with other eyelette setters. Was able to use the 50 percent coupon I got in the mail which made it like 14 dollars. Yeah
Just guessing here, but I bet a woman designed this puppy!!!

I just bought mine at a local craft store this week and absolutely love it!! My hubby has nearly banned me from the house when I pulled out my hammer before. But now I can set eyelets with no noise. Great little gadget it is!!
I just got this yesterday at Michael's with my 40% coupon. We used this at a class at a kind of lss making a summer book and it punched through 10 layers of paper and chipboard like nothing. I had to have it.
I just got mine a few weeks ago at Joanne.com with a 50% off coupon. I *love* it! Especially for punching through chipboard or multiple layers of cardstock.
I have it and love it - the "silence" part is great, but I love being able to make a setting for punching, and have it remain the same all along a line, or around a curve - as someone above said....a woman designed this tool!
