Default Help me to decide on a heavy white cardstock

I have been using some Wausau 110 pound cardstock that is great...but my paper store can't get more of it. And all you enablers here keep raving about the wonderful heavy cardstock available from Gina K and PTI. So, I'm asking for your opinions. Here is what I have in my notes on each so far:

Gina K Pure Luxury:
...has card base weight as well as layering weight
...card base comes in White (listed as 120#), Ivory, Black
...layer cs comes in White (listed as 80#), Ivory
...base weight is .28 per sheet (25 sheets for 6.95)
...layers weight is .20 per sheet (25 sheets for 4.95)

PTI Stampers Select:
...has only one weight of cardstock...110#
...white is .15 per sheet (40 sheets for $6.00)
...white card sets available for .30 per set (20 ea envelopes and cards for $6.00)
...vintage cream and kraft are .18 - .25 per sheet (12 sheets for $3.00, 24 sheets for $5.00, 50 sheets for $9.00)

I hadn't checked for free shipping minimums, if any, or for:
...Smooth surface/image quality
...comparison of ivory or cream to SU vanilla
...matching envelopes

Tell me what you like about each one...or what you don't like.

I did a comparison on my blog a while back.

here is the link

my bottom line since then is that I prefer Gina K's. It has a bit more sheen and it much easier with copics, IMHO

I love the PTI white cardstock. I know the shipping is $6.50, it's free with $55 order. I think it was $6 for pack of 40 sheets

I was happily using Neehah solar white. Affordable. quality. Then I started using Copics. Now I use PTI. I {heart} it! I have tried the Gina K and although it is nice, I prefer the PTI. But this is from a Copic coloring point of view and how much the paper bleeds. Just for the record, when I took my Copic certification class they recommended all three brands that I mentioned. So that is just my personal preference.

Thanks for the comparison, Joan! I've been thinking of trying Gina K's cardstock. I love PTI's, but wanted to do some 1-layer Copic-colored cards. Great info!

I have both PTI and Gina K's, I'm not sure if it is because I have used the PTI so long or what but I do prefer that over Gina's. Hers is very nice but I like the way the copics take on the paper better.
Good luck!!

I don't have PTI's, but I do like GinaK's a lot. Better than all my other cardstock, actually.

It's too funny, but I thought the PTI was HARDER to use with Copics (the opposite of what's mentioned above)--it absorbed too well and I found it hard to blend, although the paper is certainly GREAT paper, and usable to me for Copics...
GinaK has free shipping over $50, also.
Thanks for the comparisons, though...I hadn't gotten that far to figure up the cost per sheet. The Neenah I just got was $17.95 on sale (usually $25) for 250 sheets in the 80 lb weight...so that's 7 cents per sheet (usually 10 cents) and no shipping if you have a local store (Xpedx). There is a 110 lb also, but I don't know how many sheets you get for that price.
