Default Help needed for Among the Branches SU set!

I'm trying to use the circle shaped stamps in this set and they just don't ink well! is anyone else having this problem? if so, have you found a way around it? I have used 3 or 4 different inks and they are either too juicy (and I've tried dabbing ink off the pad and lightly tapping the stamp) or not juicy enough. I can't get a clean image using these stamps! Help please!!
thanks!
Kitty

I've never been successful with solid stamps and Stampin Up ink. I use Pigment inks or Chalk ink often. My Favorite Things inks do well on solid stamps.

I've used two of the three circle stamps in this set and those have inked well for me with the SU! firm foam pads. You could try a using brayer to apply ink to the stamps, which might help with a more even coating of ink.

"Acrylic stamp not holding ink" is the post on the General stamping forum. Go there for more info covers same subject.

Check out the Misti took (there is a Misti forum here on SCS).

It's hard to get a solid image stamped with dye ink - I don't care what type of stamp or what brand of dye ink LOL - but the problem is EASILY solved by the Misti tool because you can restamp the image EXACTLY where you need to multiple times until you have the coverage that you want..

I don't own a misty so cant say if this would solve the problem. Your image will only be as good as the products you use, paper ink or solid stamp.

In my experience with pages of replies to my posting of this some time back, you also need a good stamp. From time to time both rubber and some acrylic solid stamps will not stamp cleanly unlike outline stamps. I have seen posts in the past with others having problems with the odd stamp. So if it does not happen to every solid stamp I think it goes back to the manufacturing of it.

If you have a poor quality solid stamp I don't think a Misti will be the magic bullet. I have a friend with a Misti, and just for fun I will try stamping the first layer of wonderous wreath to verify if my hunch is correct.Personally I like a stamp to have a nice clear image first time and not have to stamp over and over to get good coverage

I was looking in the SU gallery for the set you mentioned Amoung the Branches-sounds like a nice set. Is that the name of it? I couldn't find it pictured. Thanks

Put a mouse pad or magazine under your cardstock before stamping. It creates a cushion and will stamp a better image. This is a common remedy for photopolymer stamps.

I have also tried a pad under the stamp as well.
