Holy cow!!! Guess what I got today?? And for HOW MUCH???
You seriously will never believe this...I went to Wally World today, which I normally hate, but I needed some adhesive and love the ad-tech...anyhow, I'm off track.
They are clearing out their craft dept....and I got a
CRICUT for 85 DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!!!
Wahoooo!! I have always wanted one but never could spend all that dinero on it, but 85 bucks? Heck that's practically free, lol!! They are also clearing out the cartridges for 30 bucks and the tool kits for 10!! Yippie Skippie!!
If anyone wants a cartridge, I'll be more than happy to pick one up for you if you want to paypal me the money for it and the shipping. They had six to choose from. I can't remember them off the top of my head but if you pm me with the ones you are looking for, I'll prolly remember or can check!!

Go, Cori, go! Sadly, not all Wally's do the same sales. A friend of mine in Oklahoma came across a sale on the cartridges a couple of weeks ago at her Wally's. They were $35. I went to mine local store, but they were not marked down! Sad . . .
And I thought I got a good deal paying $169.00. Yours was a better deal.
I would be interested in the tool kit and a few cartridges.
doodlecharms, animal kingdom, beyond birthdays, christmas cheer, celebrations.
Please let me know. I may not be able to get all of the cartridges from my list, even if they have them, but that is a great deal. Cartridges at my local wal-mart are $60.00.

a lot of the wal marts are getting rid of their craft departments. SO it just depends on which one. if your walmart is the main one in the area...THEN that's probably not the one to go to..smaller walmarts are probably the best choice!!! GOOD LUCK!!!
You could be right. The other 4 wal-marts with in 20 miles of me are all super wal-marts. The one I go to has been cutting down on the craft stuff that they carry.

I've heard rumors here that our WM's are getting rid of the material in their craft dept. and then I heard that at least one is not going to have a craft dept. at all. I'm kind of bummed because they are much cheaper than JoAnns or our local quilt shop for sewing supplies.
Location: Oklahoma...State (OSU) We love 'em even when they lose, and we're never disappointed!

Our WalMart has already moved out the fabric with a remodel that is lasting forevah!, but they have more scrapbooking stuff (bleh!--people saying-I can get that at WalMart) and they still have thread and a few buttons. Not enough profit in fabric I guess.
I don't think our WM will get rid of their craft dept. They may cut down on the stuff they carry. There is no other place to go for 20 miles. superK doen't carry anything any more. Pat Catan's doesn't carry yarn. We are very limited on what we can buy and where.

Wow, my wal-mart in Ohio has lots of them. I should hook you up with my daughter. She lives in Virginia beach and lives in wal-mart. She can find anything you want.

Wow Cori!! Now you can join us on our Cricut thread!!! That is awesome. I was the one that got the carts at WM for $35 a few weeks ago. Ours was a nice, big Super Walmart, too. I doubt they will get rid of their craft section but they will remodel them all eventually. For those of you who has lots on the shelves at your WM keep watching. Mine were all on an endcap one day FULL PRICE and I went back two days later and they were all in a clearance basket. Just keep going back ladies!!!

for that price I would buy all they had and put them on ebay - - - Are there any more of the machines there? Could you buy those for us and mail them??? I would paypal you ASAP - - - I have been wanting one and this is an awesome price!

WOW...this has turned into a busy thread. Ok here is the rest of the story lol. There was only one machine at walmart for 85 bucks. I grabbed it for myself and then got uber excited and drove across town to the other Walmarts lol. Only one had some..and it had 2, but they were 140 bucks. Not nearly as good of a deal but still a steal. So I grabbed it with the intention of selling it here so someone else could get a great deal. I posted it on the bst and before anyone prob read it, I talked to an old downline of mine, and she wants it. So, there are no more machines.... but there were a bunch of cartridges. I thought about ebay...but I really don't have the money to buy them all and wait a week. Anyhow...these are the ones I remember them having

I also can't believe Walmarts are closing or reducing their craft areas! I love those craft areas! AUGH!

That's amazing.. what a lucky duck!!! I've been looking at my Walmart, and they don't even sell the Cricut. I probably should venture out a few miles and check the other Walmarts in town.
I rushed to my local Walmart after work and found out a lady had been there 30 minutes earlier and bought all 15 left on the shelves. AND she convinced the manager to give her an additional discount since she was buying all of them! He sold them to her for $60/ea. I'm super mad.:mad::mad::mad::mad:

I'm in Va Beach and the one closest to me only has the machines ... I plan on checking another one today for cartridges.

We actually went to WM last night partly to see if they were closing out their craft dept but it looked pretty normal. There was one clearance section but it was very small and didn't have much in it. All the cricut stuff was all normal price.

That's what I told the Walmart manager. His comment was "oh well, at least someone will make some money on them." :rolleyes: He said they've only sold 2-3 since they received them in December.
All the cartridges are on sale for $35. If anyone wants me to pick some up for them. They had lots of the Christmas ones, Boxes, Bags & Tags, Celebration and several other ones that I can't remember right now.

Dabbling Demo!
I went back today to pick up a cartidge for someone here on SCS and Walmart has marked the cartidges down to $25. There were lots of Tags, Bags, Boxes & More. Doodle Charms, Beyond Birthdays, Christmas (lots), Jasmine alpha and a couple of other alphas.
