I always use mini glue dots. I just stick a few underneath the ribbon, wrap it around the edges around the card and stick it down so that the "tails" are hidden behind the layer. They've never failed for me and aren't messy either! Good luck!

For Ribbon I use glue dots. My favorite adhesive for cardstock however is Mono Multi. It comes in a green and white bottle and a little goes a lont way. HTH! Congratulations on your new hobby- hope you have lots of fun!

A xyron machine is a neat (but not necessary) solution.
I use Mono Multi when I haven't borrowed the xyron from my sister.

Fabri-tac is wonderful--think glue gun in a bottle. Available at wal-mart and places like that too. OR glue dots are good.

My ATG glue gun holds down the ribbon really well.

I use the ATG also - I usually use 1/4 inch tape.

I use Glue Dots or Glue Lines. Tidy, easy to use, and holds like a vise.

I use either snail adhesive or glue dots. I've even used a few brads on the ends already and just put a bit of tape in the center.

I use the smallest Xyron, the one shaped like an X" (the 150). It's so easy to run the ribbon thru. It's dry and a little repositionable at first if you don't get it exactly where you want it.

LOVE MM ribbon glue. Love it! I got away from the glue dots just because I swear I could see the little bumps from them under there!

I use a dab or two of Scotch quick dry tacky adhesive. But more often that not, I just tie the ribbon around the piece of card stock.

Terrific Tape 5mm, a little less than 1/4" works well. It is a double sided adhesive.

I have used a few different ways of attatching ribbon -
a very narrow double sided tape
Eyelets (put the ribbon through the whole before the eyelet)
Brads
Sew simple glue
tieing around the card
tucking it under a piece of card then securing with tape then stick piece of card on actual card (hope that makes sense.....lol)

Congrats on your new hobby.

I like Yes glue for ribbons buttons etc.
I took a dab of it and put it in a seperate container and let it dry out just a tad. So it is super thick. But when you put it on a ribbon or button the stay in place right away instead of slipping on top of wet glue.
