Hello!!
I am new making card and so far I love it :o) but I am trying to use ribbon and I am no sure if the best is use glue? or tape?? or I dont know :o(
and to put together layers glue is the best? is kind of messy ...
any advice ?
thank youuu in advance
I always use mini glue dots. I just stick a few underneath the ribbon, wrap it around the edges around the card and stick it down so that the "tails" are hidden behind the layer. They've never failed for me and aren't messy either! Good luck!
For Ribbon I use glue dots. My favorite adhesive for cardstock however is Mono Multi. It comes in a green and white bottle and a little goes a lont way. HTH! Congratulations on your new hobby- hope you have lots of fun!
I use the smallest Xyron, the one shaped like an X" (the 150). It's so easy to run the ribbon thru. It's dry and a little repositionable at first if you don't get it exactly where you want it.
I have used a few different ways of attatching ribbon -
a very narrow double sided tape
Eyelets (put the ribbon through the whole before the eyelet)
Brads
Sew simple glue
tieing around the card
tucking it under a piece of card then securing with tape then stick piece of card on actual card (hope that makes sense.....lol)
I like Yes glue for ribbons buttons etc.
I took a dab of it and put it in a seperate container and let it dry out just a tad. So it is super thick. But when you put it on a ribbon or button the stay in place right away instead of slipping on top of wet glue.
