Default How to stop Cricut from cutting if messed up?

Hi, I just got a Cricut Explore. Previously I just had the original baby bug. I can't figure out how to make it stop cutting if the paper is messing up so it doesn't finish cutting the image. I tried the cricut cut button and the pause doesn't cancel it. I didn't see an option on the Cricut Design space to cancel during a cut. My old machine had a stop button. Does anyone know if there's a stop button for the Explore machine? Thanks.

Sorry the only thing that works for me is turning it off or unplugging it

The pause button on the machine always works for me. I would contact ProvoCraft. Maybe your pause button is defective.
