I have read before about people rinsing the ink pad out under the water faucet and then reinking it. I haven't never done this, but I know I have read about it.. anyone done this before?

Pam is right. Rinse the pad under running water until it runs clear. Then re-ink with the blush blossom re-inker. (Trust me, I know from experience!) ;)

I bet that you'll have better luck with these colors than you would if it was a red into a yellow or something. Let us know how it turns out!

Rinse it at an angle to help promote the color flow out. Blot it with a paper towel and see if the AA color still shows up. If so, rinse some more. If not, blot some more. You'll want the pad to be wet with the new ink vs water. HTH

I was going to post..and you beat me to it

Well...I rinsed and rinsed and rinsed..and then blotted it with a towel until I thought I had enough water out of it. Then I re-inked with the blush blossom...almost a full bottle. Then I went away for the night. I left it out right side up. While I was gone I asked my niece to turn it for me and she turned it on edge..not the way I wanted it turned, but she did not know. Anyway...it dripped out and most of the ink is out. Oh...before that I had tried stamping and just got a watery image.

Now I have blotted it with many paper towels and it is almost dry....well damp like a pad should be. The only problem is that it has this faded effect because it was on edge so it is white on one end and blush blossom on the other so now I that it is dry enough I need to reink it but don't have enough re-inker to do it. If I use what little I have left I won't have any in case I want to watercolour and I use it for skin tone. So tonight at Hostess Group I will order a new inker and ink it up when it comes it.

It was funny though..when I reinked it you could still see remains of apricot appeal..now that the blush blossom has run through it the apricot appeal is all gone

I think once I re-ink with the new re-inker it will be a success. If I had been patient and gotten the water out of it I would not have wasted a whole reinker. But in the end it will be okay.

Thanks for all your help. I was going to just put it out for use for my kids....or when it started to get white I thought about making it a bleach pad..but I is salvagable and it looks as good as new...well soon it will..lol
