These magnetic display strips also work well with thier magnetic spice tins (for Primas or other accesssories) The tins have see thru tops that pop off easily.
I keep my extra punches in here (like extra punched word windows or circles) When I punch for the purpose of using the negative (like for the word to show through the word window, I save what I punch in one of these tins!
The Ikea store is north of the World Congress Center (where Regionals will be). Here is a the link from the Ikea web site.
If you've never been to Ikea, it is HUGE and can be very overwhelming. My best advice to you is make a list of what you're looking for and allot at least a few hours to shop.
I'm a little slow to respond to this one, BUT I am chomping at the bit for Ikea to open in Draper, Utah (they should be announcing the grand opening pretty soon). I have this benno cd tower, and I store my stamp sets in it. I need about three more!
For my family, IKEA is Mama-Talk for 'Can I Stamp It?'
my 4 year old even says it!
here mama you can stamp this!
too cute!
all my stamproom stuff is in TROFAST.
look in the kid section.
mine are tall pine units with white bins...
all my rubber is in a bin...
halloween..bin!
christmas?....3 bins!
flowers...bin
leaves..bin
I write in pencil, what the contents are and from far away it is invisible...
Looks like ice cubes...
and we just moved house... easy peasy!
just slide the bins out and onto the truck.
just as easy for demos...
love them.
my kid has the stair step ones with black bins.
we use chalk on the outside to draw what is in them
I buy everything!
we needed to save 200 dollars last month, so I did my part and just stayed outta IKEA for 2 weeks...!
it was hard but we managed to pay off Christmas... That's how addicting it is!

A friend of mine clued me in on this thread!!!. Perfect ideas!! I've been using the magazine holders from Ikea for awhile and I was starting my search for ink pad holders and the DVD holder will be perfect if I can find them. My Ikea is out of them but I'm sure there's other things I really need. Keep the pictures & ideas coming! TFS
we were just at ikea this weekend and my DH found those drawers and pointed them out to me saying - "don't you think those would be helpful for your stamping stuff..." OMG - I just LOVE that man!!! for oh-so-many reasons but he really does understand me!!
I just bought what I thought was the wooden dvd holder because I need additional ink pad storage and love the way all of these look...
However, I was suprised to come home with mine and the ink pads didnt fit!! I tried so hard to squeeze my ink cartridge inside the slot I ended up breaking the slot and getting a splinter in my thumb :(
Unfortunately I didnt read this whole thread prior to visiting my IKEA because I now know there are cd racks and dvd ones and it appears I bought the wrong one...luckily my IKEA is only a 30 minute drive- looks like I will be returning today....Be careful not to make the same mistake!!
I almost did the same thing, but oddly enough my 5 year old was with me to point out the difference between the two. I don't even know how he realized they were different. Maybe because I was in a hurry and he wasn't.
Luckily you didn't break your ink pad- that could have been disastrous!
ATL was out of the DVD holders Friday. Our one mission--but alas we all rolled out of there with some good stuff. Ikea guy said they were out and not getting any more DVD (inkpad) holders.
Huge bummer!!! That was the reason I went last month too (emeryville,ca was out then too and nothing else seems to work like that that I can find..)... but of course i made myself feel better with many other beautiful IKEA finds!!! Hope you gals did too- BE SURE TO POST YOUR CRAFT SPACE IMPROVEMENTS HERE!
Atlanta was also out of the USTAGA punch holders (otherwise known as the kitchen hanging system!). But I definitely managed to do some damage nonetheless!
they are just like the jars in the prima racks, only the lid is solid not clear. So perfect for storing my extra primas, embellies, etc -- and 4 for $3!!! I bought 2 sets, but am wishing I bought more - I want to move my ribbon into them!
I got two sets of those jars too!!! My two friends who were with me didn't and now they're kicking themselves! Oh well, I guess we'll just HAVE to make another trip to IKEA... the sacrifices we make for friendship!
Can someone tell me the brand of the spice rack. I can't seem to find it in the website. WOuld love to get the rack and some jars for my ever growing stash of ribbon.
If you go to the IKEA website, you can also request a catalog. This is another good way to "shop" before you get there. I would recommend that you make a list of the things you just "have" to get. Much of the storage/kitchen things will be downstairs (in the general? shopping area, but there are some fun things to see in the showroom area upstairs, too).
I got the Hensvik bookcase (or is the storage shelves? one has four shelves one has five. I have five). It is not shown in the catalog or online, but ours does carry it in the area where you actually take the furniture boxes. I put it all together myself on a 90 degree night in the attic, so it was pretty easy. It looks really nice, too. I like the curved detail pieces. Here's a link to the series, so you can get a feel for what it is like (sorry, it is a kids collection). Mine is not the storage thing shown here, mine is like a regular, tall bookcase. Hensvik Series
Enjoy your shopping trip!! Get a warm hot cinnamon roll, too! And the almond torte dessert that is served in the main foodcourt (or you can buy a whole one in the food section by the checkouts) is also FABULOUS!
I just got the Rajtan jars on my last trip to IKEA, too! Same thing, perfect for all the little embellishments & doo-dads. I also have the 4-pack of wicker baskets. I think it is like $4.99 for 4 baskets. They are each a different size. One is just right for all my Cuttlebug embossing folders & dies.
