Does anyone have one of the Janome Sew Mini machines? I am wanting to use it for making cards and scrapbooking only. Do you like it?
How is the size for a limited space stamp room? Where did you buy it, and where did you get a good price. I have found it online at Home Depot for $59, but wondering if there is a better price. HD has free shipping.
Thanks for any info you might like to share.
OMG, I was just looking into this same machine this weekend. Cambria's Blog talks about it, she loves it! I did find it online for $49.99 at Hancock Fabrics, that was Saturday. I do not know how to sew but I love the look on cards and scrapbook pages. I have been looking at the cheap little craft ones and all the reviews are so negative. So I think for the $50-$60 price range it is a good one to have for paper crafting. I am subscribing so I can see what others have said about it.
If you already have a sewing machine, use it. They work better than the smaller machines. Keep used needles to use for cardstock, instead of purchasing new ones. They work just as well. Remember you have to keep tight hold on your cardstock, since the feed-dogs on the machines cannot hold the cardstock and it tends to slip. I use my Janome 3000 and 6600 for cardmaking.

I have the Janome as well as a "real" sewing machine. The Janome sits right at my feet under the craft table. I just whip it up to my table and can sew on SB pages and cards. I also cheat and will poke holes for faux stitching and then use the white gel pen. Oops! Did I say that? We even dragged it out for a club meeting. I gave them a choice of poking holes or using the machine. I ended up doing the sewing since none of them had learned how to sew, but they switched off doing the rest. All I can say is BUY ONE! You will love it.

Thank you to all that have replied to my original message. I did just order one from Hancock Fabrics for $39 plus the shipping. I can't wait to get it and try it out! You all helped me make the decision to go on and order one!

Those of you who use a regular machine and then Janome for cards...is it hard to get used to the small size when you are sewing cards on it? I would think it would be like going from driving a bus to a mini cooper...big difference, and sometimes it takes getting used to....

Thank you for sharing this info. We just moved to a new house, and I needed a sewing machine to do easy sewing. Plus, I definitely can use it for my scrapbooking
I just ordered the Sew Mini from Hancocks. Yea! Yea! I have a big sewing machine but it's in another part of the house from where I stamp and make cards. The little Mini only weighs 5 lbs so it can go anywhere.
If you are a new customer to Hancocks online, you can type in WELCOME at the checkout in the code box and get free shipping!

Wish I had known about the free shipping - oh well, at least I did order it when it was $39. Still awaiting my machine. Wonder if it will come with a bobbin or two?
I just called the store in our area and she said she would sell it to me today at $39.99! The sale price was actually only good from June 14-18, per their flyer. Thanks for the heads up!
I have an expensive Bernina, and I hesitated using it for sewing on paper. So, when I saw a used Brother sewing machine at a sale for $15...I couldn't pass it up. Now I don't have to use my nice machine! Check garage sales, Craigslist, and the Goodwill stores...you'd be amazed at what you can find!

Just ordered one. Went ahead and paid the $49.00. Even if they agreed to let me have it for $39.00 it is a 25/30 mile round trip drive and in my gas hog I would not be saving anything.: I did get free shipping.
