I never watch HSN, but I knew they were having scrapbook shows throughout today. The Crop-a-dile (which they misspelled!!!) is their special ($24.90). The price is comparable to what you can buy in a store (once you factor in s&h), but it includes 400 eyelets and a storage box.
I got one as a gift from a friend- she taped the receipt to the back in case I wanted to exchange it  - anyhow, it was purchased at Michaels with the 40% off coupon and the total ended up about $15. I haven't played with it much yet, and am not to the 'love it' stage...still more in the 'how do I do this part'! ;)

I got mine at Michaels with a 40% off coupon. It's a great tool. Cuts very easily through lots of materials (I used it on leather and had no problems).

I saw the one on HSN, and it is so worth the price, you get 400 eyelets and a carry case for it.
I got rid of mine because I didn't like the grip on it (felt it was to big and it hurt my hands), but it was a snap to use. However, I only make pages and cards, and didn't really see a sense to have it since I don't punch throught anything "tough".
Anyways, watching last night made me want that one, but I went to bed so I wouldn't buy it
It was a really good price, if you get a chance to purchase one, try and get that one.
Go to M's and get it with the coupon!!!!! Way cheaper and 400 eyelets are not worth the money you would save on the tool itself. I suppose if you must have a carrying case, that may be the only factor, but you'll be saving the S & H costs too. At any rate it's an awesome tool to have, especially with those late night eyelet setting times, the hubby loves it too.
LOVE my Crop A Dile, but I will say that the directions are TERRIBLE. Just ask people here or play with it. I was doing it all backwards! I thought I broke it, but I didn't. It's actually pretty sturdy even when you are getting eyelets stuck on it! But I did figure it out and can't imagine how I crafted (or lived!) without it. I LOVE how it sets eyelets but also how it pops right through chipboard. Got mine at Michael's for $15, too (with coupon).
My hubby bought me one for Christmas because the woman at the store told him it was a must-have since I have everything else, now, how on earth do I use it? The directions on the package are horrible and when I did try to set the eyelets, it didn't take well, the eyelet either got incredibly smushed or didn't set in. Someone please help explain!! I feel bad for not using it, my hubby's been asking why I haven't been using it!
I bought a crop-o-dile at Hobby Lobby with money that I recieved for Christmas, I could have waited until there was a % off coupon but I am not a patient person when it comes to something I really want and besides it was Christmas money so I bought it at full price.
I love it, I have only played with it and not actually made any cards with it yet.
It is a little big for our lady hands but it is so quit and hubby loves that about it. I had actually given up on eyelets and stayed with just using brads because eyelets were so noisy to set.
I don't remember if the directions tell you or not but the black setter part at the end of the tool actually pulls out and turns to give you different sizing options.
DH had to explain the measuring thingy on the side to me so now that is a great thing about it too for me.

I understand that the black setter part comes out but what number goes with what and how do I not smash the eyelets when setting them or how do I set them right. Either I end up smashing them or they don't set. Not too happy with product right now. I don't like the fact that something is outsmarting me!!
I just happened to have saved the directions from the package and amazingly enough I was able to find them among everything else scattered everywhere.
Here is the combination chart from the package...
A-(top) for all 3/16" standard and oversized eyelets
1-(base) for all 3/16" standard, oversized and misc snaps
B-(top) for all 1/8" round standard SNAPS
2-(base) medium eyelet and snap flare
C-(top) for all 1/8" standard and oversized eyelets
3-(base) for all 1/8" small eyelet and snap flare
D-(top) for all oversized, misc, and square shaped metal embellishments and snaps
4-(base) for snaps and eyelets where the eyelet tube is not completely hollow and for other misc cast metal eyelets and snap shape
