Thumbs up Making Memories Customer Service

Okay, so I just posted a negative thread about bad customer service, so I need to post this one about one of the few companies left with stellar customer service! About a year ago I purchased the Making Memories (MM) large paper cutter that runs about $50. LOVE the precision of this cutter, and the self sharpening blade feature! (<-that alone saves a bundle!) After a few months, I noticed the black measurement line markings were wearing off......and kept continuing to do so. This was such a bummer to me, since I had found a cutter I really loved! It became very difficult to get accurate measurements with the markings all rubbed off. So I contacted the company through the website, and just as I was about to give up hearing back from them, I get a box in the mail! What was in said box? *giggle* Let me tell you! A brand new, improved cutter (that the markings have not been fading on AT ALL I might add!), as well as a cute MM recycle shopping bag, and an Animal Crackers box of embellishments! WOW! Now *that* is customer service! I would have been perfectly happy with the new cutter with markings that won't wear off! The added items were just a nice bonus! How awesome that a company in this day and age stands behind their product, acknowledges when there is a quality issue, AND corrects the problem! Very refreshing!

Same with me.. Had a slice almost a year and something minor broke.. I mailed it back and they sent me a brand new one, entire starter set, with a ton of extra stuff. Wonderful experience for me!

I had the same experience with them regarding the measurement lines wearing off, and they were great about it and sent a new one, but unfortunately it seems not everyone around here has been having the same lucky with MM. I have seen a lot of posts recently stating they have had unresolved problems. I hope they get back on their great CS path.

I had a good experience with them too. I ran a womens craft group a few years ago, and asked for items for fundraising purposes, and also to use as gifts to build the self esteem of our members.

They sent me a lovely box of items free of charge all the way to Australia. I was very impressed.

The same thing is happening to my trimmer. What is the phone number or email address so that I can talk to them about mine. I was just about ready to give up & buy another brand. I really love this trimmer & it's self sharpening blade. I cut lots of cardstock for my son's wedding programs & I do mean lots of cutting & noticed how the lines were wearing down to nothing. Thank you for your help.
