I just saw in another thread (in a card description) that the artist used:
Pomegranite "marker" (blender pen and re-inker)
(hope I remembered that exactly, apologies if I didn't)
Oooh! So me, who just has spots so far, I could get re-inkers and not have to order empty spots and I could just use blender pens?!?! Really! Tell me, please, those who do this - do you feel you use a lot of ink up from cleaning the blender pen between uses. Do you keep a lot of blender pens? say for different colors.
Oh boy, now I'm in trouble if I go and order inks, too, not just papers.....
what I did for mine was take an old dried up blender pen and filled it with ink, and kept mine permanant. What others have done is designate one side of a blender pen for each color, 6 colors, 3 blender pens. then you drop ink onto the tip until it is saturated and you use it like that. I don't think that folks clean each blender pen in between or switch colors, but I could be wrong. If you go to use it and the ink is not dark enough or wet enough then I think they just add a drop or two more of ink. Hope this helps.

I was just about to post a similar question when I saw this thread.
I was really disappointed last year when they introduced the first "in" colors and they did not offer the stampin spots or markers. I was hoping that with this year's colors that that would change. But, since they haven't, I am looking for alternatives.
I had heard about using reinkers on blender pens, but wasn't sure exactly how to do it or what kind of results folks got using that. I really don't want to invest that much money ($9.95 for the blender pens plus $2.75 each for the 6 colors plus shipping and tax = about $30) if it doesn't give very good results. Anyone who has used this technique please let us know and maybe give us a link to a project in your gallery using your homemade markers. TIA. Susan
Like you said, 3 Blender Pens = 6 'markers'. I bought the 3 blender-pen pack and already had the re-inkers. Just drop a few drops on one end of a Blender Pen until the tip looks like it's been saturated, then you are done. It does dry out (fade) with use, so keep your re-inkers handy. For the In Color 'marker's I put a mailing label on each end of the barrel (the main part of the pen) to indicate which color was which.
Really easy. I know I have some samples using them in my gallery, but I could not tell you which ones. ;-( I also used one of my 'marker's this past week for a workshop and it worked great!
I try to only use Craft Ink and other SU products that are recommended for scrapbooks. If I am going to make something I want it to last - even cards!! I use journalers instead of markers and was very upset when SU discontinued all the colored journalers (not to mention most of the 12x12 cardstock but that is another thread!). I was hoping they would expand the journaler selection not end it!!! Anyway I have been trying to figure out if I should try to find a non-SU brand of pigment ink marker to use when I found this thread. Does anyone know it this technique works with Craft Ink? I have never needed any reinkers so don't have any to try.

I have not tried it, but I did suggest to SU that they carry Craft markers. I am not sure if there is a technical reason why it would not work. I have a pack of blender pens, so I might just give it a try.

I am pretty sure you can actually pop the entire blender pen tip off and soak it in the reinker to really saturate it. And the two tips on either end of one blender pen DO NOT meet in the middle so you can pop them both out and use one for each color. One pack of 3 blender pens can be all six in color markers
