mixing old and new clear embossing powder

I have some old powder, that works fine. It is getting low, so I bought more. Is it okay to mix them? They are different brands. Thanks!

Think it might be wise to mix just a teeny bit of each together and try to heat it.....before making the jump....My reason is i mixed some clear from two different companies and it was easy to tell where one had landed and then where the other had. Made sorta and interesting mistake type thing. So would try a bit before jumping in and mixing all.

I also had a bad experience mixing embossing powders, I avoid it now.

I have mixed some with some success, but both were old powders, and no great loss if it didn't work. I have found that some of my old powder doesn't give me a nice thick result, but cools totally flat.

I don't think I would mix old and new together. You never know if the old is going to turn into a dud half-way thru the bottle and ruin the whole batch.
