Default Mono adhesive not sticking

I'm having a problem with mono adhesive. It seems to work fine, but if I have a card that I've done months ago, when I go to send it, some of it starts to come apart. I seem to have tried every kind of glue out there. Does anyone have any suggestions? The only thing that I find to really work is the super sticky red tape. That's so expensive and takes more time, though.

I use my ATG gun on EVERYTHING now. I refuse to use mono for the exact problems that you are having.

I don't use mono--drives me crazy that my projects fall apart. Well, I use it if I know I'll want to take something apart! LOL

I use Mono Multi glue and Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive (on the scrapbook aisle at Target). I have yet to venture to the ATG gun, but I see it in my future!

I, too, use Mono Multi glue and love it - I don't think you could get things apart that are put together with it - ever! And a little goes a loooong way! Awesome stuff!

I bought tombow mono power bond. So far, so good. The only thing I really don't like about it is it's not refillable. (tossed a lot of those dispensers so far!)

What are you suppose to use if your a SU demo and have no choice. I have had several problems with my mono, either falling apart and breaking. But really can't use anything else if I'm doing a demo, right?

Julie, I am a firm believer in burnish, burnish, burnish. After you've laid down the mono and your layer, burnish both front and back really well. That will ensure that you've gotten good contact over the complete piece of adhesive.

also, I am not one to skimp, lol. I do use a piece in each corner, yes, but I also break up large expanses with bits of it too...in the center, maybe even evenly spacing two small pieces in the center on a very large layer. It's not like I totally cover everything, but every 2-3" maybe gets a small piece.

And burnish.....
