So, Mom and I decided last night was THE night to get our Cricuts. We were very excited and ran up to Michael's with our 40% coupons and since the Cricut was on sale they would NOT honor the coupon - EVEN THOUGH WE SAID WE WOULD PAY FULL PRICE!!!!! So, the manager said it could be overridden but she wouldn't do it! So, we went another five minutes down the road to Jo-Ann's, used our Michael's coupons and each got one! The customer service at Jo-Ann's was such a relief after the ordeal at Michael's. They could only find one Cricut for us and then spent 10-15 minutes searching the back storage room and calling other stores......well, they found it in their storage room! So, Mom and I were up late last night playing with our new toys - it is WAY cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Moral of the story is - I will go the extra five minutes to Jo-Ann's; evidently Michael's doesn't NEED my money! Oh, and the Cricut is WAY COOL!!!!!!!!!! :-)
I seen the new toy the other day at Micheal's also and thought it was very cool but a bit much out of my price range for now.Since I don't work.stay at home mom,so even though I get to play a lot. this seems like a really fun toy enjoy and have fun.

I ordered from QVC for $259 plus it comes with 2 cartridges, and I can pay over 4 months for it. I just went to Michaels and used my coupon for the Tags Bags and Boxes cartridge. This is just the coolest machine!!!
Tandra
Our Michaels is having a demo on Cricut Saturday. The sale price is the same price as if you used the 40% coupon off the regular price. I too went to QVC to price it out, and their price was less than Michaels. Just read another thread on Wishbone(?) so will need to see what that machine is like before I make that (gulp) purchase. (have to decide between machine or more stamps....)
Am I understanding that you got the cricut at Joanns? And that the sale price at Michaels is $179.99 or something like that? Sorry, I kind of got lost!
minor edit:
I just went to Joann.com and the cricut is excluded from their 40% off online coupon! BUMMER.
Mom and I used the coupon from the Sunday paper for Michael's at Jo-Ann's.
Regular Price (Michael's & Jo-Ann's) = $299.99
Michael's Sale Price = $279.99
Jo-Ann's Price - 40% coupon = $179.99
So, it was a better deal to use the coupon than the sale price, I am just glad Jo-Ann's honored it.
Grrr, I'm trying to buy one, everywhere I've checked is out of stock! I did use my ACMoore coupon today for a cartridge, and I don't even have the machine yet:twisted:
I just saw one today at a Recollections store in Sterling VA. $299 but includes a class on how to use it. They demoed it for me. Cool machine. I'm waiting for the price wars later this year!! LOL
