Nestabilites Dies Help Needed

When I broke my squares apart it left little nubs where they were joined. This shows up in the embossing. They are also hard and a bit sharp. What do you do to get them smooth? Anyone else have this problem?

I have the large rectangles, and the raised cutting edge was not smooth on the 2 biggest ones. It had a few divets in it. It definitely showed up when I embossed and when I tried to cut, it didn't make a clean cut at all. I just called their customer service number. They had me send them in and are going to look at them and see if they're OK (I'm sure they're not) and then send me new ones if needed. I haven't gotten them yet, but I just mailed them early this week.

My octagons have these little nibs too. I tried using wire cutters and it wouldn't even cut a nick. :( Maybe sanding it would help? Chris, let us know what happens with yours.

Some of the older versions of the Spellbinders dies come where they are attached together and you need to twist them to snap them apart. This leaves sharp, pointly little "nubs" (for lack of a better word) that need to be filed off. I have used my Dremel to remove the points on these. A little metal file also works well. Be certain to wear some type of safety glasses as you do this so that you don't end up having an accident.

You don't really need to sand those off. I never have. If you leave the "tangs" on, you can use those to help line up your dies to make frames. Hope that makes sense.

It's really a personal preference to take them off or leave them on.

I just got the Nestabilites circles. I thought I knew what to do and saw a post where someone broke theirs. I don't want to do that. Does the raised edge go "up" in the Cuttlebug sandwich? Just some quick -- for your information ideas would be excellent!!
