Default Nestabilities for a newbie

I saw the sets of nesties on QVC and was almost ready to get the scalloped set when someone on a thread said how great it was to have the straight sided ones, especially for squares as they're always perfect. That got me to thinking that they're right but didn't want to plunk down $180+ for both sets on QVC. I decided I didn't need the ovals and rectangles and that I would buy the circles and squares separately SO now I need to know how I can get the 4 sets (scalloped and straight circles and squares) the cheapest. Anybody know of a place that has free shipping and/or a great price??

Or am I wrong in not getting the ovals and rectangles?? Or a different set?? Need enabling help ASAP!!

I can tell you what I did and maybe you'll garner some wisdom there. I bought both large and small sets of the rectangles (classic big scallop) and circles (petite scallops). Later on, I bought the petite oval scallop and the plain ovals in the large set only. I have the squares in the plain large side only and the hearts and labels2. What I found for me, is that I don't use them enough to justify having both large and small sizes. I love to the ones that are one size though. Hope this is some help to you

Same for me. Cut@home has the best deal with their 40% off coupon (sign up to get it).

One thing, though. They are often backlogged on their Spellbinder orders, so if you're in a hurry to get them I recommend going to Wolf Camera for 20% off during the month of May. I just got an order in from them and it went fairly quickly. They have free shipping if you spend over $100. It's a flat rate up until then ($6.95, if I remember correctly), so until you spend $100 you pay the same shipping as if you spent $10.

Normally, people do not mix petite scallops with classic scallops as the "humps" are a different size. If you're into matchy-matchy, don't mix petite & classic scallops.

Ritz/Wolf Camera had a great price on the sets, last I knew. I got my 4-pack sets online there a while ago.

The 4-pack includes the small and large of a shape, and the small and large scallop of a shape. At the time, the shapes available in 4-packs were squares, circles, and rectangles.

They have the long rectangles in the 4-packs now and the classic ovals. I bought the classic ovals from Cut@Home, and the long rectangles from Ritz.

I just love the Nesties, they are SO much fun! I agree with Meg, though, that a lot of people don't mix the petitie and classic scallops because the scallops are such different sizes (Hey Meg, now it's my turn to Ditto you!)

I have purchased nearly all of mine at www.ritzcamera.com. They have the new releases and just last month I got 11 new sets they were $16.65 per set and I got free shipping with each order. Blessings,

Default Nesties

Nesties are an investment. Shop around and make sure you get the sizes that fit together the way you want if you are looking at putting ovals with scallops and so on. There are so many choices out there. EllenHutson.com has some good information on using them and on storage too. Good luck!

Default Another Question

I've noticed recently some circles and squares nesties listed as "Classic" and I'm pretty sure they're not referring to the scallop size. How would the NON-classic circles or squares set be different than the classic?

I bought from Cut at Home a couple of times and used the 40% off Monthly VIP coupon, but found that after they applied the outragious shipping rate, I didn't save as much as I had hoped. I have bought mine at Hobby lobby with their 40% off coupons, which you can also sign up to get emailed to you. I am fortunate though to have a HL store within less than 10 minutes of my house.

I felt the same way about the Cut at Home coupons. Shipping took a huge bite out of the discount.

Just fyi, in case it helps, I finally put together a spreadsheet of the nesties so that I could keep them straight. And keep straight which ones I had and didn't!

In the spreadsheet, there's a column called "Contained In". You can get some of the nesties in sets of 4 sets, if that makes sense. Like the large circles, small circles, large scalloped circles, and the small scalloped circles. If you take a look at the chart, you can see what's in the sets so that you don't end up duplicating. Hope it helps!

Here's where the chart is in the Downloads forum:
