I LOVE letterpress but not sure I want to invest in more dies..this won't use dies for other machines :( I wonder if just a letter press machine would be more cost effective??
I saw this a while ago and was sort of interested in it, but I don't use dies very often, but this machine can use other dies. The video shows them running a spellbinder die through, so it can at least be used for those. I'm sure some of the bigger dies would go through as well by tweaking the sandwich. The fiskars dies look about the same size as the standard dies (from what I can see in the video).
I'm hoping for a winning lottery ticket today. That machine would fill all my needs. Love my Big Shot but I really need 12" wide. Like how it folds up to carry, too. If we didn't have a ton of expenses coming up to get a kid out the door to college, I would beg on bended knee for an early Christmas present. Did I mention it looks awesome?

i also wonder if it will be carried by Michaels, will they allow coupons??? HSN has a habit of saying exclusive, then you find it at M's AND can use coupons, LOL............ happened to me on some MS stuff.........

Not sure about Michaels carrying it -- but if they would - it would reflect that manufacturer price, which is WAY more than the special they are carrying on it for today.
I am just wondering about the cost of their other dies ...
I hate to get roped back into another machine that makes using it so pricey.Decisions, decisions !
yeah..I have the fever too..but I just bought my BS in Feb..and I think my husband might strangle me if I decided to buy something else..LOL..but..If I sold my BS....?? but that fiskars machine is pretty pricy..I would alsomt rather have a Silloete( sp?)
...I am such an enabler aren't I?
Anyone take the plunge and get this ?
I have one finger on the order button ...
;)
I bought it at midnight and then checked it out further today. Also the adapter kit. Love letterpress and if it can use my big shot dies, embossing folders and nestabilities ....It was the flex pay and extras that had me pressing the button...Anyone else?
Oh I did too! I was lucky to even see it...DH turned the tv on and I noticed it recording...then he prodded me to buy it... gotta love him; it'll will be my anniversary gift! Now he gets to shop for himself.
Today really is my birthday! I ordered it and the adapter set. If you order both you'll get a 20% discount on the adapter set. I've wanted a 12 inch platform for a while and this was just too good of a deal to pass up. So happy birthday to me!
This machine can emboss and cut ANY company's dies (with the adapter set) and embossing folders. It's a 12 1/2 inch platform.
The order confirmation information I received from HSN said I should receive the machine it by July 11. I can't wait!!!
Mmmm.... I'm thinking I'm going to be getting this... I just have a Cuttlebug, and have been thinking of getting a Big Shot. This seems like it will handle BS dies, plus it's big like the BS Pro, but a lot cheaper. I can pick up some larger dies than I can do right now. Plus I like that it folds up which the BS Pro can't do...
Hopefully it works as advertised, but Fiskars is usually good quality.

Well I got my Fuse today...still waiting for the adapter kit; it's at the post office. I do like the machine and I posted a card on my blog. It works just like it did on HSN debut. The dies are designed so that the plate doesn't move around too much when your inking. After you've inked it, you take it and the die out of the orange holder and the plate lowers and stays in place. I only messed up on my first attempt (user error)
I'm really interested in seeing how it works with the texture plates that I have since I have a lot of Fiskar ones.
The one thing I should mention, is the machine is heavy...not sure how much it weighs, but I don't think it's something you would want to lift a lot. Mine is on a table folded and I only have to open it up to use.
The info posted on HSN said the machine weighs 23 pounds. It's heavy, like the Grand Caliber is. Yes, I won't be lugging that beast around town, either. LOL
Your card is gorgeous, and I'm so glad to hear that the Fuse works as well as it appeared to work on HSN.
When you get your adapters, I hope you'll let us know well using other company's dies went for you.
I got my Fiskars fuse today as well. My first attempt wasn't as good as I would have liked but the 2nd was better. I don't like that the die gets marks on it when you run it through the press. Clean up with the ink supplied was not easy and the die still has some black on it. I used mild soap and water to clean mine. But overall the machine does what it's supposed to do. I hope to make more with it tomorrow.

I'm picking up my adapters today and will report back.
@byzmomof8 glad to know about their ink. I used my dew drops and there was no residue left on the plate. What kind of mark is being left...I checked mine and don't have any..wonder if you got a bad die.
I bought a Fuse and it arrived yesterday. My adapter plates arrive today. I took it out of the box and it's heavier than my Grand Calibur, quite a bit more. I don't mind the weight at all.
I don't plan to use the black inkpad they supply especially since it looks like some leaked out of the pad.
I got my adapters and here's my 2cents of info. For the embossing folder and cuttlebug dies the Fiskar recipe worked just fine. I attempted their recipe for the fiskar and sizzix texture plates and it seemed to thick. So I made my own and the results were awesome (posted samples on my blog). I also decided to cut one of my cuttlebug embossing folders in half so that I could emboss in the middle of 12x12 paper and was happy with the results.
I'm picking up my adapters today and will report back.

Thanks for the dew drops hint. It is a white mark like it would crack but it doesn't. I will take a picture and post on my blog later today. I was shocked as I really love the machine. I need to make a lot of thank you cards and this machine will make that task easy.
Off to check out your blog,
Shawnee

i bought the Fuse but haven't had time to play with it yet - i hope to tomorrow. It is VERY heavy - and big. It wouldn't be a good thing to take to a crop because it would hog space & be so heavy to transport.
I want to get the adapter kit but haven't yet. i also checked out Fiskars' website for more die sets, and they have a lot of them, but they're pricey.
