Default Organizing small embellishments?

I am looking for something to organize small embellishments. I only need 10-15 small compartments and I would like them to be in one unit if possible. Does anyone know of a place I can go to get something like a system that has little plastic pull out drawers? I would like them to be clear so I could see what is in them. I would also like them to be able to come all the way out instead of just tilting. Any ideas? I would appreciate all of them!

This isn't exactly what you're looking for, but I'll throw it out anyway. I use a embroidery thread container (clear) that I got at Walmart. It has about a dozen compartments, but they are available in different sizes. There aren't pull out drawers. The lid flips open so you can access all the compartments at once.

this isn't exactly what you have described either, but i will also 'throw this out there'

i use the plastic organizer containers found in the tackle dept at walmart.
my drawer is even fuller now but here is a peek, if you would like to see.
embellishments drawer by momis mama at Splitcoaststampers

the ones i like have just 6 compartments each, but there are larger ones available.

hope you find what will work for you.

Another storage idea very similar to the embroidery thread box is a plastic box sold in the fishing dept. at walmart. It is larger the the embroidery one, some even have little tabs that can be removed to make the section bigger. Anyway the only reason I mentioned it is, that they do have similar boxes in the craft section but they are twice as much then the ones in the fishing section. I have a ton of these and I use them for everything small, I have one box for each kind of embellishment including brads, eyelets, metal embellishments and now even my unmounted SU alphabet stamps. They work great. I used to keep these types of items in the packages they came in but then I found I wasn't using any of them, this has helped with that.

I don't know what the name of it is, but my husband had a small unit in our basement with like 40 little tiny drawers in it, sorting screws and misc parts and stuff, I know you can buy them in the hardware store/dept. Anyway, I confiscated it from my husband : ) I sort all my small things, and also punched out tags and such. But if you look in the hardware store, they might have smaller units, the drawers come completely out, so it would me just what you need.

I got a container at WalMart also, but mine was on the bottom shelf by the beads. It has about 2 dozen square containers that hold my dew drops, charms, and other hardware. Then there are 12 smaller square containers that hold my brads, as well as 2 long-ish containers for bigger stuff. It's awesome! And it was around $8.

For all of my eyelets and brads I bought a 4 drawer container (only about 5'' wide) which fit into a case with a handle. It was from a discount store and in the tool department. It was very expensive.

I have the same thing from Walmart - its great, all the little boxes with lids and you can see what you have in them. Easy to carry just the box you need or the whole thing. I recommend it!

I used an old spice rack---little jars on a turntable---for my buttons and small flowers and other embellisments. It's great! I wonder if you could find one on clearance somewhere.

I found a large pill box at Walgreen's. It has 28 little compartments-pills sorted out for 4-week span. The compartments are larger than the 1 week pill box. You gain access to the compartments by pulling down a slider that covers the compartments that are vertical. I store my letters cut out from my alphabet set. Since it has 28 compartments, I have the extras filled with the 'in additions' in the alphabet set. This container is opaque and the cover is clear so you can see what is in each compartment. This container could be used for any little embellishments-brads, googlie eyes, etc.

I use a nuts and bolts kind of drawer set for charm sized embellishments, but the clear plastic drawers aren't worth much for seeing inside. Instead, I used the label maker to made small labels, i.e. Christmas, Marine Theme, Food, etc.

I bought a whole tacklebox at Wal-Mart...it was about $13, and I have been looking for another one, with no luck. Maybe in the spring?

Mine is this one:
http://www.great-lakes.org/graphics-...-1354-open.jpg

It's only about 11" tall and 8" deep and I have each pullout tray for different things like buttons, hodgepodge, and larger embellishments. For brads and eyelets I use the same little 97-cent divided boxes mentioned earlier from Walmart's fishing section. I store them book-style on a shelf and label the ends, one for metallics, one for colors, one for rhinestones, etc.

For what it is worth: My storage is free---as long as you know someone with a baby or are willing to buy baby food and eat it----I put punch outs in the square/rectangular food containers with tight fitting lids and large beads and stuff--my brads are in PinkHedgehog's small jars and I punched a hole in the lid and place a brad sample through that so I can tell exactly what it is.

I love the Craft Mates storage. I have 3 sizes for all my embellishments. Here is a link to one (this is the smallest size and is great for eyelets and brads):

I have a plastic organization as well. I have the little rectangle boxes from Cropper Hopper that I have my brads and eyelets in and those are in the plastic container.
