Default Ott Replacement Bulb

I have an Ott lamp with the bulb flickering on and off. Might the flickering mean that it is a fuse rather than the bulb that is the problem?

The local JoAnn stores do not have the replacement bulb. Office Depot is mail order only. Are there likely to be other kinds of stores locally that might carry it? Frankly, with the mail order prices I saw, it is probably cheaper for me to buy another Ott lamp at Costco.

Hobby Lobby sells Ott Lamps so they may have replacement bulbs. Also, if you have a sewing store locally, they might have replacement bulbs as well, I know the local sewing store here carries them.

I purchased an Ott light several years ago and had to contact Ott directly and purchase a replacement from them since they no longer made that model. Their customer service was terrific but I do agree that it might be less expensive just buying a new Ott light!! I just like the one I have!

My lamp flickered also, probably for a week or so before the bulb finally blew ... probably not a fuse if I had to guess. Most all office supply stores have free delivery if you place a $50 order. What about bumping up your order to qualify? I usually add printer ink cartridges (good to have extras on hand anyway) or computer paper ... can always find something to get that free shipping option.

Default Got it!

At Michaels! I honestly did not know they carried Ott lamps. Although I had been in the store countless times, I had no idea where to find them and wandered down half the aisles before locating them. The lamps AND light tubes were 40% off this week---good thing, as that dang replacement tube (no lamp) was regularly priced at $29!

The Ott desk lamp at Costco is $23.86, but I like the style of my old one better.
