I swear I have always used SU Whisper White or Very Vanilla with my watercolor pencils and it did just fine. But recently, it seems to really be peeling up when I watercolor. Nothing has changed...pencils, blender pens etc. So, what paper do you use besides actual watercolor paper when using watercolor pencils?

You need something with a little more tooth. If you don't want to use watercolor paper try using confetti or naturals card stock. They deal with the wet a lot better then the coated card stocks.

I usually don't use cardstock for true watercoloring as I like to blend the colors and sometimes you just get a little too much water and the paper will buckle. I have a booklet on watercolor techniques that might help explain watercolor paper.
