Default Pfrustrated in Pflugerville with my Cuttlebug

Ok...not only did I spend most of my day trying to cut felt, but running around to get new plates, thinking maybe that would help. I have tried the regular felt, the stiffer felt, felt with adhesive on the back, even ran my felt through my xyron. For the life of me, I cannot get my Nestie flowers to cut. By the way, after shopping for 2 hours...couldn't find any plates in the little town of AUSTIN Texas. They called around to other stores for me. It's just been a very frustrating day. I have heard you can cut felt wit the Cuttlebug and I've seen it on numerous blog webpages. Mine, just won't work. I give up!!! Thanks for any help...but I ordered online 2 new plates...seems that's the only way I'm going to get them. We'll see if this works or if somebody has another idea...I'm listening.

Thanks so much,

Sheila Pavelec

I am so sorry to hear you are having problems, I use nesties and six in my cuttle bug, with no problems, and my plates are a year old and curved and beat. I have seen a lot of videos also when I began but ended up doing things my way. lets see if this might help you..
1. A plate
2. B plate
3. felt
4. nestie die face down (ridge-face down)
5. C plate
6. run it through
Try this and let me know if that works.. I hope it does.

...try placing a piece of cardstock between the felt and the plate.

The cardstock shim always works for me with my CB and felt and any other type of material. I also have to run it thru about 3 or 4 times to get a crisp cut on the felt or material. Don't know why this is so...don't have that issue with cutting paper. HTH!
