Default pigment inks?????

Hi. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to get pigment inks to dry. I use them and they still smear---even after I heat set them. Thanks for any info!

When in doubt...clear embossing powder is your friend!

I don't use SU craft pads for this reason. I have been impressed with the hybrid pads TAC sells as well as Brilliance Pigment Ink pads. Not sure about others, but I heard that CTMH has some really great craft pads as well.

I have black, brown & grey in the Palette hybrid inks. So far, I like them. Haven't tried the colors yet.

It also depends on the cardstock that you are using. If it is glossy, you will always have to emboss to eliminate the smearing. I have had luck with Color Box pigment ink drying on regular card stock (or heat setting).

I just try to only tap my stamp on the pad this way there is less ink but the color is still there and it dries really fast.

also as your heat gun gets older it loses its heat.
