Prima question
I see so many beautiful cards with primas. Is it possible to apply ink to primas? I was thinking I would get them in white and then I could sponge on any color of ink I wanted. Has anyone every done this?
The CTMH catalog shows doing this with their flowers and I thought it would be a great way to save money by not buying Primas in tons of colors.
Thoughts anyone?

The look of the prima comes from the blending of the color with mineral spirits. I don't see how this really would be possible though someone may have done it.
If you want to dab ink on you'd be best to watercolor with crayons, reinkers, markers etc.

I saw this too in the CTMH catalog...
I think I am going to try doing this with some of my White Pirmas.
I have a couple of re-inkers and some small containers.
Cause sometimes I just need a certain color that I can't find.
Sounds like a good thing.
Lots of people I spy on...aka stalk their blogs ;) Dye their primas with the reinkers or with using the craft pads and smooshing it around to pick up the ink....go ahead and try it, I did ;)...I know it is hard to try though...gasp the thought of it not working and wasting a pretty little flower.
I have never sucessfully re-colored a prima. I've tried using re-inker but the color ended up way too dark. I tried smooshing it on an ink pad but the flower ended up flat from smooshing. I tried coloring with a marker too and that one ended up in the trash too.
So, I have many colors of primas now and just go with what they are. Just my 2 cents.

According to the CTMH catalog one should add a little bit of water to their re-inkers Then place the Primas flower in the container take them out and let dry on a paper towel.

Dumb me - I was thinking prisma pencils - I see now it was prima flowers - sorry about that. I'm sure they die and will have to try that sometime soon!
