Question Prismacolor vs Copic markers-Which are better??

I don't use markers that often for coloring, but am thinking about getting some. I was wondering what most people like, the Prismacolor or Copics??
I love the Prisma pencils. I do like to color!! Can you buy them individually, if so where? Maybe I should just buy 1 or 2 of each kind and try them out??
Please let me know what you think...

I recently got Copics.. but that was after mulling over my decision for about two months! I played with both copics- original and sketch and prisma. I just liked the nibs on the copics better- particularly the original that has a fine point end. both are great markers... prismas are considerably cheaper. so it's probably best to experiment with a couple of both kinds to see what works for you. The copics are refillable and the nibs are changeable so that is one advantage.. but you can almost buy two prismas for every copic....

Gina K does a copic marker club and has great suggestions on her blog for using the copics. you may want to check her blog out or do a search on here. There are several copic threads out there.

good luck with your decision. I am truly enjoying my new toys!!!

I like the Prisma's. The fine tip is hard to beat for not bleeding past the lines in small spaces!

I have pondered getting copics but I find that I always go back to my prisma pencils for coloring. Copics are a huge investment and need practice to get them right. I have been trying for a year and still can't get it right.
You can buy both the copics and the prima color pencils individually.
