Well, my SU wrought iron punch must have only a 1300 punch rating! I was working on some wedding invitations and at about the 1300th punching through CS, the darn thing broke. The pot metal plate broke right in half. I was happy that I had just seen the punch at the LSS so at least I was able to get another!! Just thought you'd find it interesting to see that they only last a certain while!

Ditto!!! Ann, please post here when you get them uploaded. I hope you're gettin' paid for all that work! ..unless, of course, its a close relative. ;)
May God bless, Sandi

I love that punch - got it from my demo's retired sale last year. Glad to hear there is another version of it in case mine ever breaks...I guess I need to use it more often.
I had that happen with 2 (TWO!) corner rounder punches when I made my wedding invitations. I got mine at Wal-Mart, and returned and exchanged twice, and then bought 2 more to have on hand to get the darn things done. After I was done, i gave my mom one of the unopened ones, and i still have an unopened one. Just waiting for #3 to go down anyday...
I think getting 1300 punches out of a punch is a pretty good deal. I would be happy if mine all lasted that long. I have worn out some favorite punches myself and just bought replacements. I figured that I got my money's worth out of them so it was worth the replacement cost.

Aww...feelin' your pain...glad you were able to find a replacement. Remember the SU southwest corner punch? I was using that one on my son's graduation invites...it jammed and broke in half too...what a bummer! Can't wait to see your invites! I know they are beautiful....your stuff always is!
I broke a daisy punch last summer -- thought it was just me -- maybe it was the pot metal, or the plastic casing. Still haven't found just the right daisy punch to replace the one I threw away. And I didn't punch any way near 1300! For those of you who are looking for replacements of the retired SU punches, many (but not all) of the designs are available through distributors of EK Success, which is the brand of the SU punches.
I actually make sure I can get a NEW punch locally if I am using it in a design for invitations/etc. I went through 3 or 4 corner rounders for 1 wedding program.
I don't think they are really designed to handle the weight of SU! cardstock...EKSuccess people, are you listening??
TFS, Ann! Mercy, these are beautiful!!! I can't imagine assembling 300. I just love the elegant simplicity of the swirls CB folder. Fantastic job!!!
May God bless, Sandi
