Default Purple Cow Trimmer vs. SU guillotine trimmer??

I'm about to buy a new trimmer, and I'm willing to spend a few bucks this time around -- SO VERY TIRED of dealing with the Fiskars trimmer. I've been eyeing the new Purple Cow Trimmer and the SU guillotine (same as the one from Tonic I believe). What do you think?? Does anybody have either? Anybody lucky enough to have BOTH (or at least tried them??) Please dish!

I just bought the Purple Cow 2in1 combo trimmer (rotary and guillotine). I LOVE it. I have been through MANY paper trimmers and this is my favorite by far. I am getting very even clean cuts. The mat on the trimmer has templates for all common size cards and scrapbook pages. The rotary and guillotine join together and separate (depending on what your need is).

Above is a link so you can see what I am talking about.

I have many trimmers and I mean many including the purple cow combo. The only issue with the purple cow is that you can not see where you are trimming. If you are strictly using your measurements as a guide it is a good trimmer. If you are trimming edges on an existing image for example, it is not an effective trimmer. I currently have and LOVE the Dahle 440. It is a pricey trimmer but like I said before, I have gone through many trimmers and now wish I had spent the money one time on one good one! Just my two cents!

I have the tonic guillitone (like the one SU carries) and I LOVE IT!!!!!! I just found out tonic has a "portable" rotary trimmer. I'm off to the 'net in search of it. Goodbye Fiskars!!!

I have the purple cows and I'd have to agree with Kim, not my favorite since the way the measurements are laid out you really can't see the size you are cutting. I've not tried that many different kinds but I can say that the purple cows does cut perfectly straight and I always get a great smooth cut. I think if you don't need to be specific its a good choice, if you are very precise, you'd probably get pretty frustrated with it.

I was told when I bought it that they wuold be coming out with all kinds of decorative blades for it that would be available in most places that carry the cutter, I know as of a few months ago I'd not seen any new ones but I was told that by a purple cows sales person so I'd assume eventually they will be coming out with more.
