Question about Cuttlebug?

I don't own one but I do have the Sizzix and the Cuttlebug merchandise works great for me.

My question is ... I just got the "Birthday" set of four mini embossing folders and with it was 2 pieces of some what hard plastic about the size of two of the folders together (closed). What are they for? I also have the "Thank You" set and didn't get any of the extra plastic.

Some of my sets have come that way. I think it's just to keep the folders from moving around in the package. (I just tossed the two pieces.)

They are just packing material and not necessary. But I saw where someone ran it through their cuttlebug in the hearts embossing folder and painted it with red alcohol ink. It looked great as a card front!
