I'm ready to purchase an ATG but now I'm really confused. What's the difference between the Scotch ATG 700 and Scotch ATG 714? Is one better then the other? Which do you prefer? TIA
bklyngal62.....I have the 714. The one difference I can tell you is that the 714 will use the 1/4 inch wide tape. The 700 needs a special adapter to hold the 1/4 inch tape. It holds the 1/2 inch wide tape.
There may be other differences, but I am not aware of those.
The 714 is red, the 700 I believe is yellow.
I prefer the 1/4 inch tape...that works for me.
Either model will take the two length sizes of rolls. I don't remember the length of the 2 rolls.
Another ATG 714 lover here...it has been going strong for nearly 2.5 years now...I sure have burned thorough a lot of rolls of tape in that time. Love love love my ATG and tapedepot tape.
blessings.
I actually have both and love them. There is a different version sold by The Tape Depot that folks have been buying with great success. It is also cheaper. I use their tape and love it...
HERE is a link to the tape I use I buy both the 1/4" and 1/2" 36 yard rolls.
HERE is a link to the gun, I believe you can use any size 36 yard tape in it.
