Smile Question regarding the Vanilla Hodge Podge Hardware

A customer just asked me if she could use markers to color the Vanilla Hodge Podge Hardware? Has anyone tried this and if so what markers did you use?

Thanks!

Sondra

She'd have to use alcohol markers or some other permanent ink. Regular, waterbased markers won't work.

I d on't know about vthe vanilla, but I tried Smooch on one of the regular hodegodge, and it didn't work. It separated and didn't dry, so the next day I tried a second coat to try and even it out. A week later I threw it away because it still wasn't dry, and was getting dangerous on the the table because sooner or later I was going to put a finished card down on top of it!

Sharpie markers will cover them. I use Sharpies to color my pretties kit pearls all the time and now you can get the sharpies in many different colors.

I sponged some acrylic paint onto my Vanilla Hodgepodge (even the brads!) because I needed white and it worked perfectly! I bet other colors would look equally great.
