I bought a silhoutte last spring. I love the fact that I can print anything I want. There are tons of newgroups out there that have all kinds of people sharing awesome files for free download.
I bought the Silhoutte because it cuts full sized cardstock (8 1/2 x 11.) where the original cricut took 6 x 12 paper-- and needed additional cartridges.
The Silhoutte is a little harder to use... I struggled with the set up initially-- but the newsgroups had all kinds of FAQs and PDF files to help with that.
I love the fact that I can cut any TT Font on my pc. I even downloaded several SIZZIX Look-alike fonts to be able to cut in any size!! Awesome.....
Then came the EBug.... Yikes... 12 x 24 cutting options-- and a few new cute cartridges... I had played with the original cricut and always like how easy it was to turn it on... insert cartridge, load paper... CUT.
a little bit easier than the silhoutte.
several months ago provocraft had a great deal on the Ebug for Demos...and a good deal on a few of those cutesy cartridges.... SOLD. Now I have the best of both worlds.
I dont have that many cartridges... as I am getting them on special and ebay... but I love the fact that I can also cut 12 x 24 if need be!
Hope this helps!!!
