A question has come up several times lately whether quickutz and zip'e'cuts dies can be used in the Sizzix machine. So I contacted www.paperdreamsstore.com and this is the answer I got from them:
Thanks for your query.
Although neither Quickutz nor Zip'eCuts dies are designed to be used in the Sizzix tool, we have had a lot of success with the following method:
To use Quickutz or Zip’eCuts dies in your Sizzix machine, you will need two additional cutting mats. You stack all three together, put the paper on top, place the Quickutz or Zip’eCuts dies with the ejection foam facing the paper, slide the whole stack into the Sizzix machine and pull the lever. Viola! A beautiful die cut letter or shape with intricate detail.
We have the Sizzix cutting mats available on our site. Please do an in-site search for Sizzix to find them.
Thanks again and we look forward to doing business with you.

Thank you for posting this
I had heard they were interchangeable, but didn't want to buy any dies of the other brand if it wouldn't actually work...
Thanks!~ good news!
Lana didn't post this, she's the nice lady at that website that called me back
Really helpful by the way, and they have great prices. I never ordered from them before, but I know others here have. Now that I know that it's all interchangeable, I plan to place an order with them
Ohhhh...two extra cutting mats. Someone somewhere had said that you could do it with (I thought) two mats and I ran out and got another one. Needless to say, that didn't work at all. Now I'll have to wait till I get the chance to go back to the scrapping store and get another one.
I just wish Sizzix would make an adapter that would work, but I guess they want us buying their dies. How selfish!
I love my Sizzix.

So very blessed and so very thankful.
God is good.
I just read on the Sizzix site that this winter they will be coming out with an adapter for their new Sizzix Sidekick that will work with the wafer-thin dies (quickcuts & zip-e-cuts).
