Default Really Silhouette??

I broke my Cameo blade (don't ask) and need a new one. Nothing to cry over, right? I'll just order a new one. No black blade, only the fabric one is in stock but I don't cut fabric so for me it's the same thing, just a different color.

12.99 + 9.95 shipping... wait, what??? For this small thing? I have no choice I had to order it or I can't use my Cameo. So then after some deliberation, I decided I should get more for my money and order more stuff, may as well since I'm paying for the shipping but no, can't update the order once you put it through.

I'm a little bit p*ssed off at Silhouette America right now.

Thanks for listening.

Yeah, that's why I don't like shopping on line that much. The shipping costs are outrageous. I bought the replacement blades for my Craft Robo off evil bay. I got 3 blades for $35 and no postage. I'm pretty sure the same blades fit the original Cameo housing. I've had them for about 2 years and I'm still using the first one and its cutting fine, so they're not crappy quality.

I just bought one for my machine off of Amazon. They are 10% off and shipping is free if your order totals $25 or more. Plus Amazon ships quick!

Good thinking! I could have bought 3 for $10 more! Maybe I can cancel my order with SA

It pays to shop around... I hardly ever settle on one place to shop, if I need something, I check at least 2 or even 3 places before I decide. And if I don't like the shipping costs, I email them and tell them why I am going to shop elsewhere for the same item. They need to know...

I am in Canada and shipping is always a major consideration for me. My local scrapbook store now carries the Cameo blades so that is my first stop but otherwise I would be googling until I found a good price. I'm sorry that you got stuck with high shipping.

Try contacting the company directly on Monday to see if they can figure out an alternative solution for you. I ordered some very small, light things from Lifestyle Crafts and felt the shipping was too high. I called them and they processed my order over the phone, and charged me a much more reasonable shipping fee. Sometimes the shipping charges are based on a dollar amount, not on the size/weight of a product.
