Ribbons make me happy!!!!
I just can't help myself. I've been doing some ribbon shares over the past couple of months. I've had more ribbons delivered to my house than a person should legally be allowed to have.
I was thinking about this last night, what is the obsession? Why do I need so much ribbon, why the compulsion to do these shares even though I have plenty of ribbons already?
I figured it out! Ribbons make me happy. They're such a cheerful embellishment. Little rows of polka dot spools winking at me and begging to be used. Flowing yards and yards of organdy, in all different sizes. The solid, sturdy organdy in oodles of colors and oodles of yards.
Yep, ribbons make me happy, and I think the only thing about them I hate is worrying I might run out.

It is so good to know that I am not alone in my obsession, but my problem is that I don't have just one...ribbon, stamps, primas, brads, bellas, the list goes on and on and my bank account goes down and down, lol! Somebody help me...nah, not really!
Being the newbie that I am ribbon still makes me nervous. I have quite a bit and I finally found how to make the knots but I don't know how to make bows.
Any help with this?
I LOVE ribbon. I am re-doing my craft area, and I am also doing the gutter thing, and I was thinking I may not have enough room, in even the long one. :-D But of course, I just bought 4 more spools yesterday at Michaels. ;)

Yeah, you're talking to the chick who has, uh, 17 feet of gutter in her craft room.....but that's not too bad because 2.5 ft of it is filled with SU punches, right?

I know there was a thread about this some time ago. Actually, there was a whole thread about ribbons and what to do with them. I'll find it and get back to you. :-D

Heidi, do you have it as one long piece? Do you have a picture of your room by any chance?

Love my ribbon too and my printed paper and my New Year's Resolution was to use it--- not hoard it. You can't take it with you and there is always a new pretty one that I have to have. So use it or lose it!!!!

I also added a very long length of gutter since I took the pictures. I put it above the window in this picture. My DH hung it from the shelf above the window. I really, really have a ribbon problem. Plus I also have ribbons in the Cropper Hopper drawers on the shelves above my Cricut.
I think Heidi was dressed up in little spring organdy dresses with polkadots when she was little and that's why ribbons make her happy!! That's what they remind me of!

You know, I think I always wanted to be. I wanted a white straw hat with ribbons. I was the oldest of 11 kids and didn't have a lot of frilly extras. :-D
I bought so much cool ribbon when I was in Portland & Seattle that the plastic ziplock bag (gallon size) I had it all STUFFED in could have been used for a pillow!
Shhh! I have the SICKNESS too! It's an addiction but it's not going to hurt me or anyone else, so what's wrong with a little ribbon once in awhile?! Hee,hee! (Okay, my husband's wallet will suffer, but oh well!)

I feel the same way. It's so pleasing to look at my rows and rows of ribbons. I spent time organizing them by color and pattern (ok so I'm just a bit OCDish) and everytime I go in my stamping room...I just feel happy to see all my gorgeous colors and patterns there.
