Scor-Pal vs Score Board
What's the difference?
TIA!

If I am not mistaken (I have neither of them), but the Scor Board only has a single 'groove' for scoring, whereas the Scor-Pal has several. For what it's worth, I would buy the Scor-Pal over the Score Board. I did see the Score Board demoed at a convention and wasn't impressed! JMHO. HTH

Thanks gale,
The Scor-It is what I meant. I'm trying to decide between the two...

After reading what seems like a Gazillion posts, I recently bought the Scor Pal and I LOVE it!!! I haven't even used it to its full potential yet, but for what I have used it for, its quite fabulous! The deep score line (or great embossed line on the other side) would keep me coming back for more! I also love that I absolutely do not have to measure (I'm definitely Not a measurer!!). I have been wondering what took me so long to buy it!! (Oh yea, the price.....well, it was worth it!) :>
..I have both. I like the Scor-it's score better so I use it on single scores like cards but I like the Scor-pal for the ease of doing multiple scores without so much measuring.
I agree with Gale...I also have both and I think the Scor-it's score is nicer but Scor-Pal is easier for multiple scores.
I have both tools, but purchased the Scor-Pal about 2 yrs ago. I purchased the Score-It last month at a stamp show just to see how it functioned.
Scor-Pal wins my vote for every reason!
The Score-It, leaves precise measurements up to the user and can vary depending on how you look at the ruler. Also the Score-It has a rubber surface that makes it very difficult to move the paper back and forth as you need to make multiple scores. This tool is also much heavier in weight.
The Scor-Pal is more versatile in that yoiu can leave the paper in one place against the corner right angle and make multiple scores, no rubber surface to contend with. Ruler measurements at both top, right and left sides. Very light weight that's easy to stand in a book case or slide along the side of your chair out of your way. There is a mat that conveniently fits inside the Scor-Pal so you have a 2 sided work surface for cutting or gluing/assembling your projects.
The Scor-Pal website is terrific for instructions for ALL kinds of projects with very easy tutorials to follow. You can also purchase additional products to use on your projects from the Scor-Pal website. Their Customer Service is terrific!
I have both. A person doesn't need both, but it sure it nice! I too like the Scor-it for that nice clean score. I really like the Scor-Pal for everything else. I also use the Scor-Pal mat--it is awesome! It has the self-healing side and a working side that is perfect for a working surface! I love to water color on it--it wipes clean in one sweep!
Anyway both tools are quality made. The Scor-Pal is a little more versatile for the multi-folds and box making. You can make so many unique shaped boxes with the Scor-Pal. Perfect for small gift giving and party favors!! Way too fun to use!
It will be a hard choice, but I would lean towards the Scor-Pal! It does so much!
I looked at both and tried out both. After asking numerous questions, I decided on the score pal. I love it. It is so easy to use and light weight. I recommend it to everyone who makes cards. It is also handy for scrapbooking.

Thanks for all your advice ladies! I'm planning to buy the Scor-Pal the next time I'm at Archivers.

I don't know if this was ever mentioned...but a great tip for the scor-pal is to mark your 1" margins with one color sharpie and the 1/2" margins with another color. The reason is that there are several other points on the scor-pal that are odd measurements...and this makes it easy for a quick at-a-glance score without accidentally hitting the dot or arrow score line.

I bought the Scor-pal for my mom and I have borrowed it but I really don't like it. I don't like how it is marked--it seems like I was always wanting another dimension than what was marked and had to pencil in the markings for what I needed. I have used the Scor-it at my local stamp store for classes and love the lines it makes. So, if I buy one it will likely be the Scor-it not the pal. And the fact that the mini is only $30 is great for me.
