Default Sealing pigment on glossy?

Hi! I'm in the middle of making my father's b-day card and ran into a question....I didn't have the silver paper I needed so I brayered silver ColorBox pigment ink on glossy paper. It's coming off on my fingers. Should I heat it with my heat gun? I also have some Krylon Matte finish spray that I've never used...would this work?

Just looking for some advice from those in the know!! Thanks so much!!

I really have no idea, to answer your question. I've actually never used glossy paper. But, I have used the Krylon matte finish stuff to spray over things done with Pearl Ex - and it kept the PE from rubbing off. Maybe try both - heat set - but keep the gun far enough away so you don't burn anything (and keep it moving) and then spray with Krylon. Then you should be good to go - I would think. I've never tried it though, so I really am no expert. Let us know if you try it and it works.

I would heat it with my heat gun. I think by putting the spray on it it will just make it run all over the place.

Let us know how it goes.

Thank you for the replys! Just wondering though if anyone had done this before and what you used? I'm wondering if the "Matte" finish would make the card so the glossy wasn't glossy anymore...Any more ideas????

Well...I let it sit overnight after heating it. It still came off on my fingers in the AM. I ended up spraying w/sealer and it kept it from coming off any more. It did take a bit of the gloss away, but it still looked good. It did not run the ink.

I've used the Krylon Glossy finish stuff ... works just fine. Just make sure to coat it quickly and evenly or it will be "gloppy". Matte will seal your piece, but I think it would take away from the gloss.

I guess I've just always embossed when using pigment on glossy...
