Hi, All,
I need some help. I'm trying to decide which one to get. Does anyone have a great explanation of the similarilities, differences, pros, cons, etc??
Anything is appreciated!!
Annette
I'm not sure if what I read is correct, but, I read that the Wishblade and the Craft Robo are the same thing, the 2nd being a little cheaper due to no marketing. There may be a slight software difference. As for the Silhouette, I also read that it is the same as the 1st two, the Quikutz Co. leased the software from the makers of Wishblade. I'm not sure but now that Co. is Xyron, I don't know if it always was?
I hope I did not confuse you. You may want to go to Yahoo groups and read up on some of the groups dedicated for these die cutting machines.
By the way I have the Cricut, only because I'm a computer dummy!
Silhouette & Wishblade & Craft Robo are the same machines, just different colors. Where the difference lies is that with the Silhouette you have to ability to buy QK downloads at 5 downloads for $30, 10 dl for $55 and 20 dl for $100. The Silhouette is the only one you can get these downloads with.
Also the Silhouette only has a 90 day warranty and the Wishblade has a 1 yr warranty. I emailed QK about the warranty when I was trying to decided which to get. I went with the Wishblade because of the warranty difference and I really don't want to have to pay for the shape downloads. You can probably find clip art in the same shapes or pretty darn close.

OK.....I don't have either, and I really don't know much about either one. But, I did meet someone today at Michaels today that started chatting with me when I was looking at the CriCut.
She has the WishBlade and she was telling me that she stamps her image, scans it, traces it....and the machine cuts the images out for layering on cards......she commented that she uses it alot for flowers to make them 3-D.
Hi,
My LSS (local scrapbook store for those who may not know ;) ) has a little blog about both. The website is: http://www.savannahscrapbooking.typepad.com/
At the top you will see a not-so-nice discussion between my LSS owner and the Xyron lady about the Wishblade. Wow...what a soap opera. Anyway...if you scroll down she provides two websites on yahoo that discuss both machines.
Hope this helps us all!!
I'm still not sure which to go with. But I haven't become members of either of those yahoo groups yet. Too busy on here.
