Default ? Sizzix Paddle Punch ?
Do I really need the paddle punch hammer to use these (I don't think I will be using them "that" much) or can I just give them a few whacks with a regular hammer?

the edge of these are metal - and the hammer has a rubber end--- I don't know if the metal hitting metal would harm anything?

I think any rubber mallet will do. I bought mine really cheap either in the hardware dept at WalMart or at Lowes.
