Default So How Do All You Cuttlebuggers.....

.....Store your embossing folders and dies?? I don't want to put them in an empty stamp box. Was thinking those plastic sleeves for 3-ring binders that you put baseball cards in. What do you do??

I wanted to find something to store my embossing folders in as I was starting to get quiet a collection of them. I did look at putting them in a small photo album, the ones you just slide the photo into the plastic sleeve, but I found that the embossing folder was slightly too wide for the plastic pockets. Any I was out shopping recently and went to the photo area of our KMart here in Aust and found a small album where the the opening was on the long end rather than the other way around and took the punt and got one - they work perfectly for them. The dies I only have about 4 sets at present so just have them in a little file folder for now. I am hoping provo craft will bring out a storage system for them similar to the ones they used to sell for the sizzlits - which of course you could still use but the cuttlebug dies (the ones I own anyway) are slightly smaller than the sizzlits.

I'm using a 3 ring binder with plastic page protector/storage sleeves. It's perfect for storing all the cuttlebug stuff all in one place! And room for expansion too The links are from Office Depot so you can have a visual. Pm me if you need pics of my actual binder.

for the alphas and A2 embossing folders:
A binder/page protector designed for CD's

for the 3x3 dies and brass stencils:
page protectors designed for 3.5 diskettes

for the 2x2 dies:
baseball/trading card binder pages (top loading). New product, no picture couldnt find on website except for by the item #

I store my A2 folders in a lunch tin. Made dividers for it. Haven't figured out a good way yet for the smaller ones. I'll work on that next week.

Ok, so I found some of the plastic baseball card sleeves that I used to put stickers in. Those little embossing folders fit in there perfectly!!

I store the small dies in a silverware organizer (like you have in your kitchen) The sizzlets alphabet dies fit perfectly in there too. The larger dies/embossing folders I store in a wooden case meant for CD's, it can be hung on the wall. I have my silverware tray holder packed full of sizzlets and cuttlebug stuff. Its pretty easy to transport to crops that way too.

I am really limited on my stamping space and I have no more room for binders (even though I really liked that idea). So I had to come up with something different. I had a spare drawer so I used cheep Wal-Mart white cardstock to make little mini folders and used my round tab punch to make little file lables. The different colors are different brands and I sorted them first by die or embossing folder then by type. I have two alphabets in the back.

I also took and scanned all of my dies & folders and put them in my stamp file I keep on the computer so I can do a quick search for/through them... I also have a ton of old big Sizzex dies. With the rate that I'm buying the dies for the Cuttlebug I won't know what I have! LOL

Here's a pic...

LOL! That is too funny.... too bad we weren't closer together, stampin' buddies! I'm crazy organized. I'm a perfectionist too... can ya tell? I redo, reorganize, clean, move, everything all the time. I could make twice as many cards as I do if I would stop *playing* with my stuff! LOL

BTW- Great bunny present! You're gonna love it!! There are some really good e-bay stores where you can get dies & folders cheap.
